Yeah, this guy has been staring at me too long. It's a neat piece. Not the prettiest watch in the world, but unique.
I'm actually happier with the purchase then I expected. It will probably be more of a daily wear then some of my other watches. One of the other watches I'm looking at is a lot harder to get my hands on, one person said it would take up to 8 months to get it for me. (no sure how that works, it wouldn't even take that long to have one built and shipped from europe...) So, I'm still working on that one. Thanks Mark, it turned out to be a pretty photogenic watch I has having a little midnight shoot with a few of my watches, and the shape of the glass on this one made the flashes easy to work with. ironically, one watch I have is covered in anti-reflective coatings, and without a flash, you can't tell the crystal is there, but once a flash is introduced, it's reflections galore. Not an easy watch to shoot. |

Moms new TV setup as done by me
So, this house was built in 1999. This cabinet is a part of the house. It was built to take about a 27-29" tube TV. And it has housed one since the house was built. Mom says "I want Netflix" I say, "can't be done on that TV" Next thing I know, I've picked up a 40" (as per her request) an extending arm so that the TV sits out the front of the cabinet, a blueray player, and (this is my addition because she keeps complaining about the satellite) a Boxee. Took cabinet doors off, modified extending arm so that it would take more screws for anchoring to the wall. The wall doesn't have a stud behind where the TV is, but the wood is 1.5 inches thick. Cut 2x4 and put behind bracket with wall to help spread weight of unit further as well as hold more bolts End result is this. I'm not 100% happpy about how it looks, but that just might be because I'm used to seeing open cabinet doors sticking out the side. sorry for cell phone picture. P.S. I made it so the shelves inside the unit match up with the top and bottom of the TV, so you can see no wires or the large bracket holding the TV. That part worked out pretty well |

Nice work. Gives it sort of a 3D look.

thanks, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my mom likes it.
It actually does stick out from the book cases, but it's still behind the front of the cabinets below, so it won't get bumped or anything, which is good. I wish i took a picture of it from the side. |
