Dusty interior advice needed
The interior of my new E90 gets really dusty after just a few days. The dust collects on the leather shifter gaiter and on the aluminium around it, as well as on the top of the dash and steering column.
What's the best interior cleaner to use to repel the dust for the longest time? I have the BMW interior cleaner which smells nice but doesnt seem to repel dust too well. Or is there a brush or something that would help? |

From my angle, repelling dust isn't quite the same as removing dust. I use a small triangular shaped California Car Duster called the Dash Duster to pick up dust, then shake it outside the car. Works well and stashes neatly in the netting behind a front seat.

When I wash my car, I generally use two microfiber terry towels to dry it. Afterwards, I often use the slightly damp towel to give the interior a once over. Less frequently I use an interior care product from Mequire's.
Do you drive with your windows open a lot?

I've used swiffers before--without the attachment. They are made to attarct dust and lint from all kinds of surfaces and they don't leave any residue

I use the swiffers with and without the attachments and they work great at removing the dust.

I use Swiffer Mitts, they work GREAT. I keep a box in my car all the time. You just slide the swiffer on your hand, wipe your hand over all the surfaces and voila, dust is gone.

I've noticed my interior to get dusty in about 10 days. I dont have the windows open that much either. I think I need to get one of those cal dusters, looks nice and handy.

Dust issue
Most of the dust inside the car actual comes from our skin(90% of houshold dust)!, so perhaps like myself, you have a very dry skin/scalp, thus shed lots of dead skin inside the car.
I look into moisturises and cleaning the car more often (usualy I clean mine once a week, but after 3 days it is already a bit dusty). I hope it helped.
