Gatorcane I think it's already a movie.... let not make it a real life documentary.

Having flashbacks of Katrina... Here are a few picks, our den (you can see the water line on the wall), the view of the grocery store around the block from our house and the debris pile as clean up of NOLA was underway. If you look closely you will see a man on his motorcycle in front of the pile, which is four stories high and stretched for miles.

Just read this video has been debunked. It's from 2010.

Sorry folks.

We’re watching the Channel 29 10 pm news (from NC via YouTube TV) and they just had a report from our neighborhood. Apparently there were other homes with a lot more damage from the tornado. Nothing like storm surge in west coast, of course.

Didn't lose power - no flooding - very grateful - several neighbors with older home remodels flooded

I live really close to Kings Point where that tornado touched down in Delray. I was outside enjoying a cigar on my patio when I heard what sounded like a dozen military helicopters pass over my house. Ten minutes later my wife comes outside to tell me that a tornado had hit where it did. I now know that it probably was right over my house at one point. The wind was crazy and the rain was going in all sorts of direction.

Storm still raging here, another several hours or more depending on which forecast/model you look at. Lost a couple of roof tiles and may have some other minor damage. Lots of clean up and will need to wash the entire exterior, prob Saturday. Peak high tide at 11:00 this morning (and about the same time tonight, but the bulk of the storm should be past us then). King Tide so possible we will see the angry ocean overtop the dunes and flood A1A in front of our house. I’m sure there is a lot of beach erosion, perhaps into the dunes, but can’t look at it until it is safe to go on the beach (again, Saturday).

Very noisy night with wind howling, rain pelting, palm trees slapping the house, and debris flying around the neighborhood. Maybe I’ll sleep tonight!

Between my wife and I, we have family up both coasts of FL: Ft Myers, Cape Coral, JVille, St Augustine and the Treasure Coast.

I got a text this morning from my niece after her husband went from where they all sheltered in Fort Myers to their house in Cape Coral to assess the damage starting with "We have a home!!!..."

Ouch. Hard to believe it wasn’t moved to the top floor of a garage.

This really hurt. I keep seeing this and the video of it floating in the garage and then out of the garage along with what looks like a Rolls. I would've tried to get to a parking garage or something..

When I found out it was from 2010 and not part of Hurricane Ian I was the first to post here.

No need to be insulting.

Yeah gotta find a place to go up. Ground floor or even second floor won’t prevent floating away in serious flooding. In past storms I know some dealerships rent space in the CityPlace (now Rosemary Square) garage to stash cars since no one will be using those garages anyway.

Yes! Every time a storm threatened Nola I moved my M3 and the wife's Tii to the raised parking garage on campus.

WE lucked out up here too. Was about 175 - 200 miles east of the eye last night and just got more wind & lightning. Tuesday night we had high winds and rain with a tornado warning and that was probably the nastiest we dealt with. Been windy AF since yesterday and should be tapering off tonight into tomorrow. No real damage, lost a plastic shed that I was using to store my patio furniture cushions in so no biggie. Our trees look beat to shit as well but other than that...unscathed. I am happy about that and I do feel sorry for those people down south! I have been through my share of natural disasters when I lived in Cali and I don't envy anyone that has to go through some shit cuz I too have been there!
