Carbonated Drinks
....That don't have sugar, or only a tiny amount. What are your favorite go to?
Grabbed a Fresca today at a gas station, thinking I was being bad, and then noticed, they have zero calories! (yes I know still full of garbage ingredients) San Pellegrino (of course) Perrier Kombucha (10 grams of sugar or less) The majority of the other carbonated water drinks always make me feel tired, probably because the water quality is trash, but always on the the lookout for one that uses decent quality water. |

I don’t drink carbonated beverages beyond an occasional beer. Maybe once or twice a year I will have a diet Dr Pepper. The better half drinks several a day, San Pelegrín’s, LeCoix (sp?) etc.

I keep a 12-pack of unflavored Le Croix on hand to add a splash to my Jameson. I'll finish whatever is left in the can when I'm done drinking for the night. If I'm really thirsty, sometimes I'll just crack open a can and chug it down. But other than Le Croix and beer, I rarely drink carbonated stuff.

we drink nothing but carbonated water (la croix) or fermented drinks. kombucha and those new tepache drinks are good if you find the right flavor.
my personal favorite is this one, stays fizzy forever unlike the perrier or san pelligrino that go flat after a couple days.

^That one is fantastic, I had a big bottle last week and was very impressed. I will be getting more now, thanks for the reminder.
I also went through a Topo Chico faze, but not sold on the water quality of those. Have not had a Tepacho, will look into that. Also I bought a case of Celsius, trying to have 1 per week, but those things are addictive. Don't seem too bad in terms of ingredients and I don't have a big crash after like some drinks. |

I have a Sodastream and make my own. I like that I'm able to control the amount of carbonation.
The only store brands that I buy are Pellegrino and Mountain Valley.

i need to get one again. price per drink can't be beat. my only problem with it was we have terrible water here, tons of dissolved minerals. so if you keep filling with tap water it eventually stains the plastic bottle

I was a three-a-day Dr.Pepper guy for decades (10-2-4) until I quit years ago. Tried just water but now occasionally enjoy a Dr.Pepper Cherry Zero over ice every once-and-a-while. The "over ice" part is critical (to me) for killing the diet aftertaste. And the Cherry seems to be the best of the several "Zero" flavors.
I'l still steal maybe a half-glass of "real" Dr.Pepper (and I miss the original recipe stuff from Waco), and I really appreciate how much better it is than Diet or Zero! |

Strawberry Bubly is my preferred infused seltzer right now. Pepsi product, but I've noticed that it isn't commonly available outside of the northeast (just like many common infused seltzers other than Topo Chico).....

I typically go with either Perrier, Bubbly, Ah-Ha or Crystal Geyser because I love the flavors. Also been drinking Polar Seltzer...they have had some limited edition summer flavors that have been awesome. Since I am diabetic I keep a supply of these for my drinks and honestly I don't really miss sodas

I'm interested in making my own... I could add whatever sweetener or water source that I want I guess.. and then put actual fruit juice in or whatever....
Anyone own a machine they like? Is it worth it? |

ICE drinks for us. I like the ginger/lime but my current favorite is cranberry/pomegranate. My wife likes the peach/nectarine.
I forgot... Mine isn't ICE, it's Cascade Range (?). Well, the ginger/lime is ICE. |

Don't drink a lot of carbonated drinks. When I do they are sugar free. I like Dr Pepper & Cream Soda Zero, 7UP Cherry Zero. Also like A&W Root Beer Zero and Canada Dry Ginger Ale Zero. I'm a senior and have to watch the sugar and calories.
Also drink Gatorade Zero and Fa!rlife Ultra-Filtered fat free milk, plus lots of water. On Friday nights (like tonight) I indulge and have a few glasses of wine. Cheers to all.

Not a big carbonated fan. I do drink Polar Ruby Red seltzer when at my sister’s house. I drink a lot of Vitamin Water Zero Sugar.

I think outside of the higher end brands i.e. San Pellegrino or Perrier... Polar makes the best carbonated water. I drink like 3 a day lol...
La Croix is extremely overrated and the flavor is just weird. BTW, these are all sugar free and only use natural flavor.

I would drink a lot of Pellegrino but now use soda stream and don't notice a big difference in flavor. I run my water through a Brita filter first.

I bought a Spärkel machine from Amazon back around when the COVID lockdown started. It uses proprietary bottles for the finished seltzer, and powdered citric acid and baking soda in little pre-measured tubes to make CO2 instead of a pressurized bottle. Used it for a year, running scoops of bulk baking soda and citric acid instead of buying their pre-measured tubes (one tablespoon of each). It was the only machine being sold that could infuse fruit and juices in the carbonation process, because of the proprietary bottles that doubled as the mixing chamber. The only reason that I stopped using it was because the lime seltzers that I was making started to tear my stomach apart.....
