Question Anyone have Quick Jack?

Thinking about getting a Quick Jack setup, but looking for input from folks that have used it.

Worth the money over a floor jack jack & jack stands?

I'd want a setup that will work for the Hellcat & the Miata, not just 1 of them.

Also, thinking about looking for a long reach low profile floor jack that can reach the front lift point of the Miata. I have a Harbor Freight low profile jack, but it cannot reach said lift point.

Interested in the replies to this as well. Been using a Costco jack and esco stands for years, but have to two stage jack the 1er up as nothing fits under it

I love my quick jack. Use it on multiple cars. Is the cost just throwing you off?

Have the TL5000, recommend getting the TL7000 if your using it for both. difference is larger rams and larger pump. Length of both are 70" , lowered height is 3" for TL5000 And 3.5 for TL7000. Best to add an additional 1/4"- 1/2 " clearance for jack points. Check price at both Home depot and Costco and they will have sales often. Opt for the 2 warranty. If purchasing via Home depot or Costco you can buy warranty over the phone after purchase.

if you can and your concrete is deep enough the older version max jax are a good value and beside tires and brake it will make undercar life easier than.

They also have QuickJacks, e.g., the BL 7000SLX for $490! Do you know anything about them? Their prices seem to good to be true.

I just got a 7000-TL not long ago, only had to use it a few times and I like it. Was pondering for a long time for price VS use after using jack stands for so long and I do enjoy the time savings it gives me for raising the car, before had to fiddle with front back front back etc.

Just spent Friday and Saturday under my 1er on jack stands. Not (too) worried about safety, but (a) at the current ride height, my long reach floor jack can't reach the front center jack pad, so it's a multi jack proposition; and (b) getting the car up on 4 jack stands is a PITA (*and* I inevitably forget that from the highest elevation, whichever end I lower last is too high for the floor jack, so by the time I remember that, I'm into multiple jacks, weird and dangerous looking 3-point balancing acts, moving the long jack back and forth and ... Entirely self inflicted, but I'm still going to use that on the list of excus - I mean reasons to get a QuickJack or one of those nifty looking 2-post MaxJacks).

Not to mention that having all 4 wheels in the air quickly and easily for any of our 3 vehicles is just soooo much easier.

Had previously used an AC Hydraulic DK13HLQ floor jack and four Esco jack stands for a Z4M with an un-lowered Bilstein B6 suspension. The floor jack was just long enough to reach the center front jack point. I now have a QuickJack 5000TL bought used. Some thoughts:
I keep both rails on the floor underneath the Z4M with the hydraulic lines always attached. Even with all the pressure released from the lines, I find that the lines are occasionally difficult to re-attach.
I use a rubber "protector" over one of the lines (to the far side of the car) to allow the car to run over it without damaging the line. The line to the near side of the car runs around the front of the car. I keep the pump unit to the side of the car.
Factual or not, I feel a lot safer underneath the Quickjack with extra room to work.

I've had my QJ for about 2 yrs now. Worth every single penny I paid. The set up is easy and access to the bottom of my car is excellent--which is the reason why I got the 5000TLX vs 7000TLX or other. And to top it off, they tuck nicely in a corner. The QJ is sturdy and well built, and I feel super secure working under my car. There is only one draw back for me, because after all, I am not in my 40s anymore...is that these things are heavy (which makes sense since they are sturdy as hell). So while I can mount the up on the wall to make my garage tiddy, eventually I will not be able to do that. When that time comes, I will just be happy to just leave them on the garage floor. Here are a few pics... I am happy to answer any questions....

Yes, the cost vs use.

If I do it, it must work for both the Miata & Hellcat. Not buying 2 sets. Be nice if it also worked on the 6 & CX-5, but that's not a concern.

never liked single point jack, so i just have multiple AL jacks and go side to side or have help

theres an xl low jack, the harbor is not really long reach imo nowadays when i saw it in store

I want a QuickJack but in my research I had a hard time finding one that confidently worked with the G80s because of how far apart the jack points are.

Had similar experience but found the way to make attaching the lines easier is to depress the down button while attempting to attach the lines. It relieves the pressure on the line and makes it much easier.

I have the 5000, if I had the 7000 it wouldn't slide under some of my cars like my Mini Cooper. Makes everything easier, a little heavy to move around but worth it. The more you use them the faster it goes. I even use them for oil changes, that way I can also do a vehicle inspection at the same time. I've caught a lot of issues while small doing this. If you ever think you'll lift an SUV or pickup go with the 7k.

Its totally worth it if you do much work on your car. I always used to dread anything under the car, but it is super easy now. Even stuff like suspension work that was doable on jacks, is way easier.

I've seen a couple things to make it easier to use. You can mount some little bearing sliders from harbor freight under it to make it easy to slide around. I've also seen someone build some long wooden blocks for it maybe 3-4" high and with a removable section the size to the QJ. Then you can just park on the ramps most of the time and slide the QJ in when needed. Makes it easier to store the QJ under the car with lowered cars.

I have a 5000SLX (now superseded by 5000TL) and use it for my 2012 BMW 135i and 2012 Audi A6. It's just long enough for the A6, so for whatever model you get, you need to make sure that the max lift point spread is long enough for your Hellcat, but also that the QuickJack frame is short enough to fit between the wheels of your Miata.

I do like it a lot and it has enabled me to perform lots of DIY maintenance like:
- suspension work - shocks, control arms, subframe bushings
- string wheel alignment - I lifted the whole car with the QuickJack then set the wheels down on wood blocks and vinyl tiles so the wheels could still move for alignment.
- transmission fluid change
- brake fluid change
- tire rotation
- even oil changes and other jobs in the engine bay are easier to just lift the whole car up with the QuickJack.
