No, you don't want it. I've ran SLI for as long as I can remember, and 1080 SLI is garbage. Microstuttering horribly with this generation, and I even have the HB bridge. I ran tests all day long before I gave up 1080 SLI, and just went with a single 1080 which is more than enough for max everything at 3440x1440 on my Acer X34 Predator.
I'm not the only person having SLI problems with the 1080s, they are very real. I wound up just selling my other one. I would highly recommend going with a single card for this generation, and possibly all generations going forward. SLI is being intentionally driven out. |

I'd been an SLI proponent for a long time, sticking up for the tech when many people complained about it. However with this generation, there are very obvious problems. A single 1080 is all you need right now, skip the 1080ti and wait for the next generation. ;D |

I caved on Friday and update my 970 to a reference EVGA 1080 from amazon. I can run mostly everything in 4k. Playing Battlefield 1 on everything Ultra currently.

I've heard 35%, but definitely wait for independent reviews before you jump. $699 is a pretty amazing pricepoint for the card however, I paid $650 each for my 1080s last year.

The 1080 as is kills pretty much everything. I can see someone with like a 960 or 970 upgrading, but from a 1080 to a 1080ti seems like a waste of money for the performance to price ratio. |

I'm pretty pissed that I just paid $699 for my gtx1080 106 days ago and EVGA won't allow me to to do the step up option, citing its only for 90 days.

Given I've been a EVGA customer for the last 12+ years and likely spent at least $6k on cards from them in just the past few years... yeah it'd been nice if they push some slack my way. I register everything so its all viewable in my customer history. 16 days isn't much to keep a life long customer.
