Watched the first 2 episodes of The Patient on Hulu. Liking it and wish there were more episodes to binge.

I saw that yesterday when I opened up Hulu, big fan of Carrell. Going to wait until there are a few more to watch.

I very much hope your enthusiasm for TROP is correct, but I think the trailer looks horrible. I want to be very wrong. It looks like the HOBBIT as opposed to LOTR if that makes sense. Which is wild given the budget.

Anybody watching Harlem on Prime? Just starting S1 E4.

I really like it : Very over the top, very in your face, very self conscious and self-mockery(!) and I love to watch those fantastic girls!

For the record: I 'm a kaukasian Western EU guy 'having it all', very much into world history and society since I was a kid AND married to my beautiful Colombian wife!

I enjoyed the first two episodes of rings of power. I want to see more of Galadriel. The actress playing her is nowhere near the original, (Cate Blanchett). But no one will ever approach that. TheGaladriel monologue in The fellowship of the ring is one of the great monologues of all time. And it was also great in the book. But the young lady in the TV series is very good. I will now stop drinking Murphs rum……..

Like the tens of millions of you who have just watched the first two episodes that were released worldwide, I have been eagerly awaiting this. Sure I would have liked more action and more creatures. However, I understand "pacing and patience". The storyline is being laid out. I can certainly see where the ginormous budget I've heard about has been spent. The special effects, choreography, scope, etc, are very obvious.
All in all, I was entertained! And I'm confident that I will continue to be...

Here. Allow me to provide you with the final trailer released just last week. It looks every bit the most expensive made for television series ever!!!

Exactly. The sheer amount of volume I order and free shipping and Prime Video, I'd pay double what I pay now if I had to.

So just finishing up Sandman last night and I'm not sure about it. It had some interesting parts and characters but it just seemed a bit off to me. Like most other series and movies now there was the now obligatory underlying messaging going on. I'm not sure I'd recommend it honestly. I gather there will be a season 2 but I'm not sure we'll bother with it. I think we're going to try the new Steve Carrel thriller next, and then maybe the Rings series.

We've touched on the themes multiples times, but it's worth mentioning as it seems to permeate everything being produced these days.

I thought the first 2 episodes of The Patient were good, just short and wished there were more.

Another excellent episode of HOTD tonight with some good family drama and our first battle at the Stepstones. Next week looks to ratchet up the tension even more!

I'm not sure if it'll be covering the mad king, but regardless we will at least get to see most of the bloodlines form and the Dance of the Dragons war.
