What MAX said in his latest Dutch interview :

That was a great race , you moved up from P15 to P2 .Was it difficult ?
MAX : In the first 10 laps , I was hold up behind the other cars . Later I lost time behind Russell .
I'm glad I made it unscathed .
From then on , it was easier to drive my own race .
P2 is not bad . But I wasn't there to finish P2.
I was there to win the race ..

There are a lot of questions why you pushed really hard in the last lap to get the fastest lap and why was that ?
MAX : Don't see a reason why I wouldn't ?
The fastest lap is an extra drivers point ..

I just read a new Dutch Mercedes article :

Wolff fired people responsible for the Mercedes W14 wind tunnel tests !

1- Wrong calculations have been made with the W14 scale models.
2- Windtunnel testing has been done for the zero-pod design only.
3- A W14 with side-pods can't be made because the chassis is a specific zero side-pod design .
4- Mercedes can't change the W14 chassis in this season anymore .
5- The Mercedes chassis can only be changed in 2024 .
6- By these new discovered issues, Mercedes can't copy (copycat) the Red Bull RB19 with sidepods .

Nothing repeated here is new. The entire chassis/concept of the W13/W14 is to have no sidepods so copying another car isn't going to work because the rest of the car isn't designed for it.

All Mercedes can do at this point is to spend whatever remaining cap they have for this season towards figuring out a concept for next year and onwards - essentially using this season and next season's budget for the W15.

Fortunately Mercedes, they already admitted that the W13/W14 concept was a failure so there is absolutely no reason to continue development for the W14 so its an easy decision to scrap the current car and begin developing next year's car.

Horner has said the reliability concern has fell in at the right time and despite not going into detail he said it's important to understand the issue..well we could tell him what my friend lol fix the drive shafts.

For so far I can understand what LEW said , Mercedes tested the W14 already with RB19 sidepods .
The Mercedes 22/23 zero sidepod design is the biggest mistake Mercedes ever made in F1 .

As for in 2024 , Mercedes will be in trouble again because they don't understand the whole aerodynamic package with side pods , floor and venturi tunnels .
And it won't be easy with the budget cap to build a complete new car , up from a new chassis .

In 2024 , LEW will be gone at Mercedes ...
