It's crazy how the rear widened fenders are better inegrated into the rear doors than G80 and F80. For 40k!

As for the available colors, the official names are Championship White, Rallye Red, Sonic Gray Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, and Boost Blue Pearl.

DCT in this thing would be pretty awesome. knowing honda they will probably cheap out and not offer one. im guessing the type r will still have the same rev hang issue the Si does due to emissions.

Unlikely. The whole reason the Si has rev hang is because it uses a dual mass flywheel. The Type R has always used a single mass flywheel, and it's lighter for this new version, so it should rev even more freely.

Yes I've seen rev hang for that reason, but I don't think that's what Honda did with the Si. Especially since they reduced it greatly in the 11th gen Si (10th gen Si was terrible for it). Again, I'd say it's all related to the DMF rather than emissions. Even the 10th gen Type R had no rev hang...it would be blasphemous and DOA if they introduced even a hint of it.

The rev hang he's talking about is programmed in due to various asinine emissions requirements. My 2009 GTI would hang when shifted below 3,000 rpm, both before and after I put the single-mass flywheel in it. However, above 3,000 rpm there was no rev hang as I assume VW programmed it so that there was no hang at higher engine speeds. Revs will fall more slowly with a dual mass flywheel, but they won't actually hang there artificially.

The Si when fitted with a single mass flywheel doesn't have any rev hang anymore, although you will get chatter.

I'd love to see it. This is definitely software and not the flywheel. It's in many, many modern cars. Lots of older cars with dual mass flywheels have zero rev hang. There's a lot of people on the Civic forums who have switched to a SMF and it eliminated the rev hang issue. You can also tune it out but it doesn't go away completely. I understand that it's software RELATED but the hardware component is what needs to be changed (as long as you don't care about emissions). There's a reason why the Type R has a SMF.
