Not really, MKSixer's argument that Hamilton didn't benefit from the best car, which resulted in most of those championships, is just crumbling.

Rus is faster than Ham. Ham isn't that good unless he has the absolute fastest car. If Max hadnt had damage and penalty he'd have beat them like he has ALL SEASON. Funny MB shows up 4 races after Max wins the WDC and after he sets a new points record and record for most wins in an F1 season.

There's nothing "funny". Perhaps Red Bull stopped any sort of development since they wrapped up both championships while Mercedes is still trying to improve what has been a failed car concept so it wouldn't be surprising why suddenly Mercedes has some new found pace.

Agreed. RB seems like they stopped a while ago. I imagine they're focused on the new chassis and next year as they should be.

That said, given how far back Max was and how close he got it just shows how fast he is driving that car.

Lets hope it was a one off because of crap Merc made track and all the world will cheer for Max/Checo at Abu Dhabi like last year which reminds me..why is Merc still using Bose I saw,Bose withdrew it after Wolff flipping out there.

I think we can all make the assumption from the radio that VER will never give a position up which I think is a s--t attitude since both championships are already wrapped up for Red Bull.

Quick thoughts:

Alonso was driver of the day.
Whether you like Max or not, that penalty was an embarrassment and a joke.
A bit upset that Max didn't let Checo get those points but I understand the mindset of a champion and he's not the first to do this.

Why would HAM get a penalty if the stewards deemed VER at fault?

Giving RIC a penalty wouldn't matter since he DNF anyway. Potentially gets points on license.
