I just don't see it. BMW's key is certainly smaller than the standard key fob as you say, but it still looks like it's about two-thirds the size. And it has considerable heft compared to Jag's much more sleek design (and I'm no fan of Jaguar) . . .

Hold your key fob up to you're wrist and imagine it with a watch strap attached to it. Then refer to the first pic and see how small it is on the guys wrist. BMW isn't going to waste their time making a key and call it an an activity watch that is as cumbersome as the one it's trying to replace

It would be sweet if you could use you Apple Watch to open the car... this article states that apple watch 5 and newer will be equipped with tech NFC ability. No need for bmw activity car key...
