Great job Munich. Just dilute your branding even more. Does this mean all M cars will have to have the JDM style quad pipes in a triangle pattern?!!? WTF.

Just doing what Mercedes did with AMG. But definitely makes real M car not as special.

It has nothing to do with other brands. BMW since the early 2000s has reserved putting quad exhaust pipes only on their full blown m cars.
Of course many other brands have quad pipes on even entry level cars wrx for example, but bmw didn't and had only put those pipes on their M models. The anger or confusion is that bmw is blurring the line between their m lite models and their full blown m models with this move. |

Yikes! Diluting the ///M brand even more; very unfortunate. My wife's 45e came with so many ///M logos all over, it is ridiculous. It so far has 13 left and this is after debadging the whole body. Each wheel, each brake caliper, each door entry and the steering wheel. Quad tips should stay reserved for full ///M only.

Disgusting!
More eyesores that Band-Aids can't fix! Or something that creates a bigger secondary market for people to change their rear bumper and tips! Hahaha... But they better get their design team off whatever they're tripping on, because they're seeing things that others don't see. Basically, if it's not broken, don't fix it! |

True, but the RS4 gets oval. I don't think anyone here is particularly mad about quad pipes in general. Just that it was once reserved for only "true" M cars. I'm sure the Audi guys would be pissed too if Audi started putting ovals on S cars or quad pipes on S line cars.
