Here's one...

Few hints -
These islands literally float between two nations, but inhabitants do not want to be considered part of either. They will stamp your passport upon entry. Sitting at 12500 feet, they are higher in the clouds than most expect.

Name the 2 known nations and water.

I had a feeling you'd nail that one quickly. Officially known as MarienBrücke. Here's the more famous view from there. As you can see, we picked a poor time to visit. Scaffolding everywhere.

You got it. My home town. That pier and beach were the center of my life growing up.

My wife grew up in a nice hillside area a few miles away. I always teased here that her town was not named in a Beach Boy song! She was not very impressed!

Yeah, those rotten Beach Boys left that one out. How could they do that? Guess it just didn't fit well. lol

There had been an early October snow just before we got there, so the bridge was pretty slick. The snow made for some nice scenery shots, though.
