I don't know. Does she need help, or is she just looking for excuses not to be accountable for her actions and given a break? Society did this. All this nonsense and coddling. I really think it comes down to kids not going outside to play with their friends at an early age anymore. We learned how to deal with others and conflict resolution by 5 years old.

You're absolutely right. And I'm sure she was trying to make excuses, but she also has a very false sense of reality and completely broke down over being called ma'am. Even if she DOES truly feel that way about herself, she still needs help on how to cope with and process, well, anything apparently.

This may sound a bit insensitive on my part, but there is no helping this snowflake. She is one of the unfortunate wandering lost.

The result of trophies for all and allowing kids to think they can be whatever they want. Heck, I wanted to be a professional baseball player as a kid. Problem was 0 I had no talent. Heck if I had actually gone to high school I probably wouldn't have been a star at that level.

Speaking of not being accountable for one's actions, look at how she screws up the alphabet at the beginning of this long video:

If the suspect weren’t already deceased I would be rounding up the cavalry.

On Saturday evening's "On Patrol: Live" TV show, Indian River County FL was investigating a single-car accident. The woman driver refused a field sobriety check, so they arrested her on suspicion. TL;DR she blew a .32 at the station, and they took her to the hospital for medical attention as a precaution (and I ASSume to do a "medically-necessary" blood draw to back up the breath test.) The three active-duty officers that they had in studio seemed shocked that someone could blow a .32.

Anyway, my question is how unusual a .32 BAC is, and what are some of the highest readings seen by some of the LEOs here?????

My middle son tested at .32 in high school. Captain!

He was a wet noodle as I shoved him into the car to take to hospital. They pumped his stomach

Next morning his male nurse told him “You were so drunk I shoved a catheter up your deek and you didn’t even notice. You don’t believe me? Go take a leak”

Most times you see readings between .120 to .180, readings up over .200 are unusual. The first Impaired I arrested as a rookie blew .320, he had pissed his pants and was falling down drunk, the other one that comes to mind that blew around .300 had shit his pants. I have also arrested an impaired at .400 who had very little signs of impairment, clearly a well seasoned alcoholic. I remember the breath tech saying to the guy you should be dead and the guy laughing about it. Our policy was that anyone at .300 went to the hospital, nobody wants a drunk dying in the cells. The highest reading I ever heard was a guy I know who worked in a very remote fly in reserve. They had a homicide and the blood test on the deceased was .820.

This woman appeared to be over 50, and amazingly had a clean drivers license when they ran it. She seemed to be walking fine, and other than the smell (and making a left turn into a drainage ditch instead of the road she lives on at night) really didn't present as the usual drunk driver on the show. In the studio, one of the guest officers from Toledo muttered that she was a functional alcoholic when they found out the .32 BAC test results later in the show.

She did have her list of (fake) medical excuses ready for refusing the roadside field sobriety tests, and then later wanted to do them after they put her into the chrome bracelets under suspicion of DUI. She also let out a zinger...how can I be intoxicated if I haven't even drank the three bottles of wine in my car yet? She kept saying that she doesn't normally drive at night as her excuse for the accident, but I suspect that she made an exception because she ran out of wine.

The police did her a little favor at the end, letting her husband pay the tow truck driver in cash to drop her car in their driveway rather than impounding it until Monday. He walked to the scene from their house, and wasn't in the car when she drove it into the ditch.....

One of the absolute nuttiest women you’ll ever see. Really wish the officer wasn’t so patient.

No that’s how we talk. I just told a shit talker the other day, who asserted that I was a punk and he could kick my ass, “You sure do talk a lot for a guy who refused to open the door and roll down the window. All bark and no bite, like a chihuahua.”

I just watched this video and this guy was just begging to get tased or maybe shot. At one point one of the officers said that the vehicle was disabled (presumably by Onstar) and yet the driver was able to put it in gear and pull away so I have a question. Does Onstar shut the vehicle down or just disable the throttle pedal?

On-Star can disable the vehicle remotely.
