Bit of a hodgepodge. Wilson upper, lower, and 18" bbl - all OD coated. I used their bbl in my 300 HAM'R build and it's a tack driver. Brownells BCG a coworker had for a Grendel build he never did. Plan was to use it to get it rolling, but it works well and will probably stay. CMC Drop In Trigger Single Stage Tactical Flat 3.5lbs I caught on sale at Palmetto for $99. Wilson Combat / Smoke - carbon fiber 10.1 LOP stock I bought a year or so ago in a deal and already had. Odin Works adjustable buffer, Hogue overmold grip and most of the other parts are Strike Industries aluminum lightweight parts. Added the Phase 5 extended bolt drop because I have it on all my other AR's and like them to be the same.
That is a Bushnell Droptine 3x9x40 I already had on my shelf. It'll work till I get what I want. Probably add a red dot to the side for those late night yotes and get up on you at a run that a scope can never seem to find.....LOL

I knew I'd like this forum! If it has a gun section we are good to go!
Some of my German toys. I probably have 15-20 HK's but these are the fun ones. Looking forward to some G80/Machine Gun photo shoots once my car shows up! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Maybe you can help me decide my next HK. Currently have a VP9T, USP9T, Mark23, USP40, P3040, MP5-22 (Not really HK), AP5-M & AP5 (Century, but will get a SP5-K soon).
So I can't decide between a HK45C-T or a USP45C (swap to threaded barrel), looking for a compact 45 I can thrown a can on. Or do I just get the regular USP45T, but I already have the Mark23. Trying to resist USP45C stainless and getting the threaded barrel.

I'm leaving my stainless models with non threaded barrels so no comment there. But if you could track down a USP45CT it would be my pick. They only go up in value. Since you already have the MK23 I'd l'd save the 45Tactical until later. You could always go USP9 Tactical and get a jet funnel kit for a nice suppressed 9mm setup as well. |

My wife commissioned this Cabot Damascus 1911 as a surprise to celebrate the upcoming birth of our daughter. She gave it to me at the diaper shower. Cabot loved the build so much they now sell it as the "Serenity" with a light rail built in. This is the original. All the parts are stainless, down to the solid sights, grips, and screws. I still get goosebumps when I handle it. It will be passed down to our daughter Emma and from her to her children one day. I hope it stays in our family forever. It's priceless to me.

Thanks, I have a line on a USP45C with 6 mags in excellent condition and will just wait for the thread barrel to become available, $900+300 is a lot cheaper than what OG USP45CTs go for $2k+, could even upgrade the trigger and still be cheaper. Perhaps some day get a HK45 some model as they are cheaper and easily available, just realized the Compact models have more of a USP grip where the full size is VP/P30 like. Really want a stainless USP of some sort.

Dwx compact arrived yesterday. Quick 100 rounds with no issues. We shot from 12ft-75ft. 50 rds jhp and 50 rds fmj. My Henning baseplates arrived today for the MecGar compatible mags and 1911 screws work with the LOK grips. Will run another hundred rounds through it tonight if time permits. We’re usually busy on Friday nights.

I was finally able to find some 6.5 grendel match ammo in town, so sent a few first rounds through my Atheris with the Primary Arms ACSS Apollo. Goal was to see if it was even on paper and it was. Photo is first 5 before any adjustments at 100yds. Optics were too far back, so I moved em a notch forward and then dialed in with a group the size of a quarter. Now I need to find someone with some good distance. I eventually wanna reach out to 1000. I'm told it's doable but it's a stretch for the grendel.
Also got the fiance on the Obsidian Arms 5.56. She had a few things working against her and she still managed to walk the ball down the lane. Shes right handed but left eye dominant, hasn't fired a rifle in 10+ years and was wobbly as hell (hence the resting mag), ear muffs were in the way of a good weld, and still have the pistol brace on. But all I wanted was her to get a feel for it and see it wasn't going to break her shoulder lol.

6.5 Grendal for 1,000 shooting??? Yes it will make it, but will be 10 foot high at 350 yards to make it and arrive with about 400 ft/lbs of energey left! LOL A measly 10 mph 3 oclock wind will drift it close to 8 feet! I have an ARC which is still not a ton of fun at that range unless you are FAR better at reading wind than I am. =) But hey - all shooting is fun right! That is the reason we build them.

![]() I've thought about building a 6.5 cred or PRC. Not only will be better to reach farther, but ammo seems to always be available in store. Thought I do need to set up a bench to load my own, I just don't have room at my current house.

Broke my new Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite in Sunday and it was great as expected. Already have the VQ trigger kit coming. My TK parts arrived so probably install them tomorrow.
Also built another AR lol. Next up, build a AR-9 rifle.
