Shame that Merc didn’t get to finish their laps as they were looking right up there up to that point and potentially ahead.

Now I could say conspiracy theory’s abound and that is what some daft Max fans would say here about Merc and Lewis but I’m not going to stoop to such stupidity.

Genuine mistake by Perez but would have been nice to see the grid play out properly. Race day not a forgone conclusion.

As for those flares, FFS grow up and leave them at home, glad to see some fans got thrown out using them.

Very exciting quali, should make for a great race with so many cars having close times. It’ll probably be down to tire strategy and degradation. The Ferrari is very strong in quali as usual but they tend to suffer on long runs vs RB and Mercedes, I can only hope they don’t Ferrari like they normally do.

It may have been the orange shirted HAM fan that threw that flare onto the track but all it did was block HAM hence she got off lightly with a Orangeboom cooling off
