When I switched to Chrome, it was out of necessity as FF was getting too heavy, is it better/faster than Chrome now?

Any modern system released in the last 10 years can run any major Chromium/FF-based browser without any issue. While I'm all for "make it as lean as you can," I also don't mind if Chrome gobbles up 10 gigs of RAM and loads 17 pages I frequent in the background so they "instantly" appear when I ask for one of them.
