I'm attending the 3 day BMWCCA NJ Chapter School on August 22-24. Any e90 post'ers going???

What about Summit Point on July 26? I haven't registered for that yet, but am noodling the idea!

I really want to try out this new track in NJ.

I was on the waiting list and had gotten in pretty early on the list and am now in.

I can't wait!!!

I think I'll be doing NASA Pocono South August 23-24th instead. I don't know why but for some reason I can't convince myself to try Thunderbolt. I guess I'm just happy enough with The Glen and Pocono for now.

I'll be there! I got the last hotel room at the one hotel BMWCCA had a block of rooms reserved.

I can't wait. It should be interesting with this being such a high speed track. It looks like they want to get us out on the track as soon as possible.

Did you get an updated schedule? In the Acceptance Letter, they said schedule was TBD and to expect an update. I never received it...

Yes, I received about three emails in the last two days from them with various forms, drive school handbook and FAQ information.

Here is one of the emails I received with the schedule:

Hello and Welcome to our joint Thunderbolt Driver School,

You are receiving this e-mail because you are new to the NJ Chapter and we like to say hello before you come to the event. For some of you this is your first Driver School. We want you to feel welcome and know that all of the organizers are here to help you have an enjoyable time and learn to be a better driver in the process. For others, this is more familiar territory. Again, we hope you enjoy yourself and the event.

I have attached a copy of our Driver School Handbook. Whether this is your first time at the track or not, please take the time to read the material. For those of you who are new, the Handbook explains many of the terms you will hear at the event, what to expect and how to get the most benefit from the school. For those who have been to a school before, we hope the Handbook will have a tip or two that you find useful.

I also want to reiterate a couple of points that were discussed in your Acceptance letter. First, be certain your car has a thorough Tech Inspection before you arrive and your form is filled out completely. Second, it's August- it will be hot at the track and there is very little shade at Thunderbolt. Be sure to bring sun screen and plenty of fluids to drink. Third, we run rain or shine so keep an eye on the weather and plan accordingly.

You should arrive at the track before 7:30 on Friday morning. Unpack your car and be sure it is ready for Tech Inspection. We will have a Driver's Meeting at 8:15 and Tech will open for students at 8:30. Instructors will have Tech from 7-8:15 then will be on track for familiarization sessions beginning at 8:30.

Again, welcome and we'll see you at the track.
