One of those things I never knew I needed. I found the plug, does it need the battery powered extractor? Link? TIA

Got a guy here doing more paving brick work. He was removing some topsoil and dirt to keep the new bricks even with the concrete walkway and he accidentally cut into the internet cable for the house. Not his fault. The stupid ISP buried the cable about 2" deep. So I needed to get some tools to splice it back together. Super easy to do if you have the right tools. I slid some PVC conduit onto the line and sealed the splice inside the conduit with silicon caulking. Should hold up fine until we get FTTH here next year.

I'm waffling about going out for a bottle. Didn't get much sleep last night and was on my feet most of today, so I'm beat. But a few snorts would certainly make me fall asleep as soon as I hit the pillow tonight.

Tenser custom knife, titanium and carbon fiber handle with Alabama Damascus blade.
Also got a de-chlorinator, water softener and reverse osmosis for the house.

All set. I was going to grab my usual Jameson and got distracted by P12, which I haven't had in a while. So P12 it is.

Yeah, in 40 years of car care, trying every conceivable product, I haven't found anything that is truly spray and rinse if you want your wheels truly clean. This Meguiars product is the closest thing but it is a very strong acid based cleaner. I use it on cars that are 20 years old where the wheels haven't been cleaned in that long. I would stick with Sonax, Blackfire, Pinnacle, Wolfgang or any "safe for all wheel finishes" product. Pressure washer may be another alternative.

What's the brand of the de chlorinator and RO systems? Our RO system was under the sink and bit the dust so we're drinking bottled right now. The city water in our area has extremely high chlorine.

A computer (huge display) for my 31 year old Giant Excursion (still on original tires).
It only sold for 1 year in N.A. because of it's $750US price in 1991. |

I have used Bilberry by Valet pro for years, which can be mixed up to 50:50. It is not acidic, and is just spray on, leave 5 mins and pressure wash off. You can agitate any stubborn marks with a soft brush, but I have never had to. It is very gentle on wheels, both painted and diamond cut

I replaced all the older can light bulbs in the kitchen with dimmable LEDs. Needed a dimmer switch. Wifey thinks the new bulbs make it too bright, so this has a slider on the side where you can set it and then it only goes to that brightness level when you hit the switch. It also will work with HomeKit, so when the pet sitter leaves the light on I can shut it off remotely.

The dimmer switch from above was a piece-o'-cake to install. Disconnect the two wires from the old switch, connect the same wires to the new switch, and put it back in the wall. Snap on the new face plate and done. I already had the app on my phone from installing previous Caseta switches, so set up took 20 seconds. Now I can turn it on or off or dim it from anywhere. (Excuse the awful white balance. The switch is actually white.)
