How long can I keep doughnuts?

I need to take a stack of Doughnuts into work,
problem is I'm on a weird shift, there's a Krispy Creme near me
closes at 10pm, if I get a box at 10pm, will they be ok, for the next morning
10am (i.e. 12 hours)

when I get them home, how best to store them
txs

Not having a high opinion of Krispy Crème, I doubt any length of time would make them materially worse. Ok...maybe when maggots start coming out of them....but 12 hours I can't see tasting much different.

Why don't you grab them when you are off at 10am and drop them back off at work?

Isn't there a term called 'day old donuts'?

I'd just get them in the morning, but that's me. I'd see people pick krispy cremes after lunch from a morning buy...but anything after that, they just sit.

You likely are getting day old donuts at 10pm, better to get them in morning.

my problem is I leave for work at 5am, the KC near me opens at 630am, my shift starts at 6am (about hour drive) and near my work place theres no doughnut shops
maybe excepting a Tim Hortons and I've usually had then say at 6am, there doughuts aint ready.

Once I'm parked up at work, I'm literally there for the duration.

maybe I can see if I can get a delivery ?

or just get some "synthetic" sweet treats from Walmarts LOL

WTF kind of donut shop is it, that doesn't open until 6:30? I thought it was manditory these places be open by 5. Maybe it's just PA law?

Though not as good as fresh(the fresh ones literally melts in your mouth), they're still fine the next day. They're not like Tim's donuts which starts to sweat(icing on it starts to get wet and run down the sides. After 3 days they're still edible but will have cracks in the icing and start to get stiffer, however they won't becoming runny. If they're to be eaten right away once you arrive at work, you can turn on your seat warmer on your way to work and they'll still melt in mouths.

crazy, the KK near me are all open 24hr. Most small donut shops are open @ 5am and ready to go. 12hr in the dark will be fine.

Krispy Creme is only good when the Hot light is on. Other than that, you might as well drink the gasoline at the station where you buy them.

Dunkin donuts? Blech. Good coffee and bagels, and the coffee roll is decent, but the donuts are awful.

You're in Canada? Why not Tim Hortons? It's the one product that's worthy of NAFTA and a trade deficit. Oh wait - that's the ONE EFFING THING THEY DON'T SEND SOUTH.

I have a lobbying group targeting the Trump Administration, to include TH in the new trade negotiations. I'll post a link to the "Go Fund Me" page:

To me, donuts from a donut shop start to be stale within 2 hours of purchase. I wouldn’t buy the night before. Some of those Krispy Kreme’s are sold in supermarkets so maybe they have preservatives. You can pop them in the microwave for a few seconds if they seem stale.

Man, those things last for days. Just pop one in the microwave for 10 sec and boom Hot Donuts! I do like the seat warmer idea, too.

In Atlanta, they're open 24/7. The hot donuts light comes on just as all the bars close. It's pretty awesome getting a fresh HOT donut straight out off the conveyor belt.

Believe it or not there are around 700 Tim Hortons stores in the U.S., but none near you or me. https://locations.timhortons.com/us.html

Yes and extensive research has shown that they are all in areas where Canadians have infiltrated our society. They are indistinguishable from Americans but for a few word pronunciations. Be careful, my fellow Americans, be careful!!

IMHO, none of these are fit to feed livestock, not even right out of the oven (Dunkins, TimH, and worst of all KC); emergency morning rations at best. If you can't find a real bakery nearby then you'd do better to spring for a couple of nice looking coffee cakes from a Sam's club. It sounds like a special occasion, and this will also stand out more than another load of generic donuts. But if your crew really LOVES any of these brands (like, you all destroyed your taste buds with some toxic industrial by-products there at the plant), then you could also just spend the cash on the world's largest pile of Hostess and blow their minds with the sheer volume.

ok basically, I landed in Canada as a PR (permanent Resident) on July 4th

Another reason why I never forget the 4th of July
in 2009, so have been here for about 9 years and about 5 of thoes
with my present company

"NOT" a big deal, but I thought (especially in our call center)
doh nuts go down well.
