Id just pour it into the toilet, its half grain alcohol and not real tequila so its a headache maker. At least get something that is 100% agave.

What Jose though? That stuff specifically is a mixto and isnt real tequila, just something cheap for the american market.

But they do make one of my favs, the anejo

I don't get why it is so difficult to understand lol... no one should be drinking this... it's not a legit tequila... its a mixto that is only 51% agave...

people complain... like bro i got so sick of tequila and threw up everywhere... mate you are drinking jose cuervo lol

and yes the reserva is phenomenal but fortaleza is the king if you can get it imho

Family reserve is one of my favorites. Espolon used to make a black bottle extra anejo that was 3yo and it was super good for $99 (They were blowing it out at $49 when I discovered it, wish I bought more).

Yeah I have a collection of about ~25 of them (I make runs to Mexico a couple of times a year and go do tastings, buy, FYI its 3L PER PERSON before you have to pay anything as long as you tell them its worth less than $800). And Ill always blow people's minds when they come over because all they can think is all tequila makes them sick, but then they realize its basically no different than a fine cognac once you find the right stuff.

I feel you, when I first started drinking the family reserve it was $80! Same for Balvenie Portwood, I was driving around liquor stores trying to snatch it up once it started winning medals. I managed to snag 6 of them at that price!

In VA in the late 90s I used to buy Macallan 18 for $71 and 25 for $350. I really wish I would have bought a couple of cases of the 18.

It's winter, and I buy one or two Graham's 30-year Tawny Ports for the cold months. I like to enjoy a glass on the back deck when it's cold but tolerable out.

It's been delightfully warm here all day today, and it's still 57° F with dry air at 6:10 PM. I've chilled the port instead of me and am just going ahead anyway.

My son brought me two bottles from the "oldest NY distillery" Just a clear plain bottle, minimal wrappers. One was moonshine corn whiskey, but only 80 proof (WTF?) The other was a bourbon, 90 proof.

So far sipping the moonshine straight from the bottle. I teased my son "Why is my sight dimming, did you see a bunch of old car radiators around this distillery"
