2008 M3 Dvd

Hi..
does any one now if it is possible tu use the I drive screen to play DVD ?
The DVD drive is just for the navigation DVD ?
It is possible to unblock that ?

I think there is a device you can buy to hook up to your 08 iDrive to play DVD's by using a third party DVD player. Not exactly what you wanted to hear, I'm sure.
