Breathtaking Auto Insurance Premium Increase

Would love to see what these companies end of year profits are?!?! Probably gauging like everyone else these days. Fucking scumbags. I’m sure the big wigs are still getting their multi-million dollar bonuses. Hope they get ass cancer

USAA sent me a notice claiming laws in Virginia were changing that will negatively impact my rates. No auto claims since 1995 (wasn't my fault).

Yes, 20% increase from last year, with a national auto insurance carrier.
I am currently having my agent get quotes from other carriers. Homeowners insurance went up 31% from last year, made the decision to increase the deductible to get the premium to a reasonable number. |

I think there was a thread about this recently. Mine went up about 20% despite no changes/claims.
Think this is bad? If you live in CA, check out your home insurance (fire) rates. Even if not in a fire zone, they're going way up. And if you are on a hillside, RIP.

This is why everyone should shop around every few years especially when you get a big increase in premiums. I dropped Geico last year after finding another company that offered 50% off compared to what I was paying.

I keep having un-insured motorists total my cars...while not listed at fault on any (on the one, my car was parked), my insurance company is paying for these. Eventually, my premiums will be going up - no
I do think I need to start suing these a-holes to get my deductible back.

Mine took a big increase in auto, home, and umbrella. Zero claims on all three. I am with Pemco. Had AAA and AMICA give me quotes but not really any better rates. Been with Pemco over 10 years.

All of our State Farm premiums on our home and cars jumped 20-25% in the last 12 months or so. It's ridiculous and not sustainable. No wrecks, claims, or tickets in 10+ years. Always had State Farm too. My friends with different carriers have seen the same across the board.
One friend constantly switches carriers to chase better rates and has done this for decades. Earlier this year he jumped on an offer from another carrier for 40% less. I told him it sounded too good to be true. Turns out that he missed the fact that it didn't include comprehensive. His son's G37 got stolen a few months back and the insurance company politely told him to pound sand

Yes, my auto rates went up 20% and home owner in FL went up 40%+. I made some changes to coverage in FL to get the home owner back to just a 5% increase. Had to change auto insurance provider to get something reasonable on the flock of cars I own.

It's all in the ads. They need to stop spending money on this arms race of stupid ad campaigns and start doing something about these rate increases.

2016 M4 went from $463 for 6 months to $733 on my latest renewal. No claims or accidents, points changed since and this is based off 3000 miles a year.

Not to derail the thread but I do like the Fresh Pet commercial where the date confronts the man about dog food in the refrigerator. Then he kicks her out.
