One of the things that we take for granted in these parts is that there are plenty of smaller farms who sell directly to the public. My DW spends much of our grocery money supporting local agriculture, which includes a grass fed/finished beef farm. They prefer to deal with whole/half/quarter cow customers, but do keep a fast-moving inventory of frozen pre-cut steaks and ground beef. They also do some occasional odd items, like pre-seasoned pastrami or more recently specially-sliced beef to make German rouladen (that coincidentally my DW is making for dinner tonight).
Sadly, the popular individual cuts like filet mignon, porter house, and ribeye are usually sold before they ever reach the farm stand most of the time. Hence, the importance of being a regular customer and friends with the farmers. Around all of the major holidays, their phone is ringing off the hook with people from hundreds of miles away looking to score their one-off holiday steaks. Their stock is long gone. One of the produce farms in our town also has a farm stand. I don't know how they do it, but they have stuff year-round...including tropical stuff that could never grow here. They also carry fresh milk bottled (in glass!) at a nearby dairy farm. Their prices blow away the local supermarkets, and we get better quality stuff for half the price. Another interesting arrangement is the CSA farm. My best man ran a CSA farm for a while, and we received more produce every week during harvest times than we could eat in a month even on a vegetarian diet for our annual $100 CSA share. Support local agriculture, and it will support you. Anyway, none of this will likely solve your current needs, but hopefully it provides pointers for getting set up for future purchases.....

I’m sitting in the car now with a 4 rib beef roast (head end) in the back seat. Not sure if it was grass fed, but it will feed us nicely!

Grass-fed means little. The real money is on grass-finished. Feel free to Google for an explanation.....
