Is there any information about new EV's? Mainly interested about performance models maybe even M EV?

The i4 and iNext (ostensibly, iX) are mentioned multiple times in the first post.

Elsewhere in the forum there has been a lot of discussion about the 523hp i4 flagship model, and resident insider SCOTT has hinted on more than one occasion that this could receive M branding. You can search or browse the i4 forum to read more of the details known so far about that vehicle.

More precisely, M Performance and not a proper M model.

Yes, I should have been specific about that.

That said, there was news a few months ago that BMW is planning to phase out the use of the "M Performance Vehicle" branding. Still though, the tiered model structure will remain, and the "i4 M" (or whatever it may be named) will essentially be to the standard i4 what the M440i is to the the standard 4 Series. And, indeed, that means that, for this generation at least, there will be no electric equivalent of the proper M4 (so no wide-body i4 with M4 suspension components, for example). Come next generation though, could it happen? We shall see.

I am aware of i4 and iNext and those just announced 5 series ev etc. But i should have nited i was referring any ither models than those.

I was referring to those M models etc. Could you point me to that scott post, could not find it. I am sceptical of pure M models to be released anytime soon, but one can hope.

Any more information on that?

My dealer told me that the 330d will be discontinued when the M340d arrives. But another dealer says that it will remain and get upgraded to 48V with production start in November.

Is there any indication we will see a 3 Series counterpart to the X5, 5er, and 7er 45e models in the future? For example, M340e?

INext sounds like it’s gonna be expensive. Like starting $80k easily approaching $100k with options.

Can you say something about which other markets (besides US/NA) will get the M440i RWD?

I can tell that there will be a ROW model (that's what is listed in the SOP schedule for March 2021). As for which specific countries it'll go to, I have no idea.

But, from what I can read, there will be the LCI for the G20 in mid 2022? Also the M3 will benefit of its changes? rear lights/interiors/infotaiment?

The LCI typically comes approximately three and half years in, and the G20 started production in late 2018. So yes, a mid 2022 timeframe makes sense.

Just as every other M vehicle does when itís non-M sibling does, yes, the M3 will get updated when the 3 Series does.

And yes, you correctly recognized that, because the M3 shares headlights with the 4 Series and M4, only itís tail lights will change in 2022. For the headlights (assuming they do change for the M models again this generation like they did last; previous generations did not) it will have to wait for the 4 Series LCI, which should be in early 2024 if they stick to the traditional schedule.

Very interesting from the August 2020 update "A new version of G82 should show up in a couple of years or so. No information on what it is exactly yet."

Mild hybrid 48V? Could be related to the recent 8 series mule caught testing on the Ring that was thought to be a mid engine initially.
