Well this IS in offtopic, so going off topic in this thread really shouldn't be anything to fuss over!

wow thats jacked up post kingbriani. ThreeThirtyEye simply wanted to help out a fellow senior member who is a very nice person with serious photo taking skills and possibly even looking for carrer in that direction.

I know you didn't mean to sound like an ass, but I think its very unnecessary.

i have no doubt nikki is a great person and great photographer and whatever. but so are a lot of other people here who happen to have a y chromosome. and none of them were volunteered a fund. i just think if people want to dote over a female, do it in real life where it might actually get them somewhere. by the way, hope all is well with you lux.sh, i know you were having a tough time a while back.

Just so you know, I was planning to do this same contribution for Diesel007's camera post after imagining what images he can offer us with that gift. That idea was scratched because of contriversy.

Believe it or not, some people are willing to help others.

Help should be provided first to those who need it most. I don't doubt they will do wonders with a lens for a DSLR, but I am positive there would be a single mother somewhere who could use the money more.
