By the way, does anyone remember the baseball stitched leather in the original Audi TT?

BMW using this as inspiration?

So this is a Dukec design with normal grilles and a strong crease line along the side, interesting.

First new BMW in a long time that looks good.

Anyway, I still think BMW should be brave and make this bc my e36/8 M coupe is such a lovely piece of art and now a cult classic.

The front overhang looks even worse when compared so directly with a previous generation The wheels should move at least 20cm to the front.

Instant buy for me if they release this in this form and don’t dilute it.

Quiet, please don't upset the echo chamber!

That front overhang is heinous. Rear proportions nicely done.

LOVE the stitching.

I agree. Took me a minute to notice it. It’s reminiscent of a baseball glove.

Would be shocked if it’s not produced. Will it come to the USA? We’ll see, but it would go a long way to appeasing BMW enthusiasts.

Normal car companies don’t make niche products like this, but I have a feeling BMW is just crazy enough to do it!!!
My biggest car regret is not buying one of these when it came out. I’m not making the same mistake twice… IF they have a manual option. My fear is they’re going Alpina with this (based on the wheels) and pushing the price over $100k instead of going M with a manual. We’ll see.

That's actually pretty cool looking car. I like it as much as I can like a hatchback. Reminds me of a Ferrari Lusso.

Even if you don't like it you have to be thankful it's not another new BMW monstrosity.

What’s with the old style door handle and new design language on the rear. Bmw design team seems all over the place

I’d like to declare this as the official successor to the M1.

Let the M 51st anniversary celebrations begin.

It’s sad to me that MOST likely they are going to offer this as some gimmicky overpriced limited edition that will be way over $100k—-from what I’m hearing.

The previous Z3 and Z4 coupes were just standard production models for similar prices as their roadster counterparts.

Very cool. More of this - less 7 series G70, and I’ll still have hope!
