Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was asking about the future pipeline for SMG. What do they have in the works for 2006-7 and beyond. We have heard a fair number of rumours regarding which SMG will be available with the M3 -- it would be nice to see where BMW is headed in this area.

Ooooh, why not resolve the quarrels on some other strings about speed limiters? Some folks have "unlimited speed" printed on their delivery docs. Most everyone that has tried to max their ZSP 330i has made it up to near 160 mph or 260 kph, but then run into an electronic limiter. Are some cars being delivered without limiters? Why are all who try getting past the listed 149 mph, and even 155 mph? Is this speedo error? And if so, how much? That is, are the USA EDs making it up to 149, but getting 155 or more indicated on the speedo? And the euros getting to 250 kph, but 260 indicated on the speedo? Trivia, but interesting info nonetheless.

Good question

Hope someone can shed some light on this there. There have been a number of reports that the big German autmakers agreed last month to stop puting limiters on their cars, but didnt indicate if it was market specific

Also the M3 has always had a higher limiter than was advertised.
Magazines have also found the new M5 has a much higer limiter than advertised

A lot of the questions here have to do with future developments
Im not shure if they can answer these at the factory here, and BMW Munich would probably be a better place to ask ( if indeed they would answer them )

But I will still try and see if they know the answers here

So just please keep in mind i may not be able to get answers to those types of questions
