Pricing has gone way up on these in the last few years...assuming it's because we're getting ready for import.

I have a friend (co worker) in Japan prepared to look at anything I want...and an importer set up since I ship from Japan to the US often. Just don't know if that's what I want to part my money on. Rarity is cool, but only goes so far. I mean yeah, it would be cool to go through the drive-thru backwards...

Yeah, unfortunately the pricing, and age are going to kill my chances of getting one, but it'll be nice to see them on the road on that RARE occasion.

Companies have been buying up and sitting on these in Japan for years in anticipation. Pricing is insane especially for Midnight Purple / Millenium Jade / NUR.

I do remember when the law where I live was 15 years, some were starting importing them prior to the 15. R34was around 35-50k $ cad, and we were like '' fck dman, its expensive for a old car''.

R32 were going around 7-10k$, and R33 around 15-20k$ cad....


Some imported them, then the law changed to 25years and they still kept them, only track use. Who's laughing now...

r32 goring around 40-60k$cad now. R34 80-120k $ cad...

I see more and more non-gtr R43 on the road. A neighbour run a 4 door one in the winter.

Meh, would have been cool to own maybe 10-15 years ago but for me tastes have changed. I've owned all of the big JDM cars of the mid/late 90s and while those were some fun days, I have never had the urge to drive one again.

As a 90s kid the R34 has a big spot in my heart. Im going to scream like a little girl if i see one of these driving around in the middle of the USA where im from.

Overhyped car imo, yes i loved it in gran turismo but gimme a break on these prices.

In Stock form - the R34 or MKIV Supra are just not that great compared to modern performance cars.

They look amazing once modded a bit and you can throw bunch of $$$ at them to bring them up to performance level of current cars.

I do think they will continue to go up in value over time along with NSX, LFA and other halo JDM cars.

car is 20 years old. I had an old built 300ZX 20 years ago. to overpay these days for 30 year old technology? stock they are boring as sh*t. And yes I have been driven in 1. Modding is a different story. But stock, its like a supra, 300ZX, RX7.

that's really what this comes down to... there is emotion there and sentiment from a lot of people just like with the prior gen supra that is outweighing reality...

How is this any more desirable or a better performer than the current GTR which is now also very old lol? rarity and emotion and it kind of ends there... if someone wants to pay $100k for that and get mowed by a G80x... have fun.
