I see no poll, but when it's here, I hope you have an option for both. Macbook in college, and then PC at home for my games.

I have been using PC for years, but my next computer will be a MAC. I have gotten fed up with the constant security flaws and computer crashes so common when using a PC with Windows.
With a PC, I find myself formatting my HD and starting from scratch every 1-2 years.

For someone that needs to use both Operating Systems - oh boy I miss coming home to my mac.
I don't think anyone who has tried a current generation mac has disliked it. For the most part people are too stubborn to learn anything about them. |

I have both OSs as desktop machines in my house, but I also have a dual boot laptop with XP and red hat enterprise linux on it as well.
I have supported Intel based PCs and Mac platforms for as long as they have existed and unix since the early 80's. My preference has always been for anything unix based which is why I like OS X based Macs with a BSD kernel.

I've used my Powerbook full time since I left my mac-unfriendly high school (only used it at home during HS) and won't look back. I use my xbox 360 for games so thats not a big loss for me.
My PCs were just more unreliable than my PB: kept shutting off, screens that would go grainy if they went into stand by, computers that wouldn't stand by, just constant nuisances. I have no need to use a PC as my main computer anymore, so I won't. I tried playing with Vista and I just didn't really feel it, and after hearing the horror stories of people using Vista I'm glad I don't. My mom just bought a Macbook too and its even better than my Powerbook. |
