You make a lot of random threads that many on these types of forums would not understand.

Nothing wrong with it, just the truth that many are probably wondering what youa re even talking about.

To be on topic, quad is super overkill. Nowhere near needed right now. It's just one of those things you have just to say you do.

Not even water cooled = noob computer builder. The only reason for this is for something similar to folding at home, or possibly this was built for folding at home.. Reason being is they can use the ATI GPU chip to do some tasks faster than CPU's. Buy looking at the internals thats what this computer appears to be for, or like I said the guy who built it is a noob and doesnt understand having all around performance.

yeah, my XPS does just fine, so i see no need for water cooling. not on my system at least.

I had watercooled on my core 2 duo and clocked it from 2.3 to 3.2 ghz.. Had it WC for a few months and decided taking care of a water system wasnt for me. So 2 days ago I just put on a fan and went back to 2.3ghz.

your sli can't run flight simulator? what cards you running on? i can't image 8800 sli having any trouble managing expecially with vista and direct x 10.

and i just noticed that the setup wasn't w/c. i have a koolance on mine and bros swiftech. im thinking about getting the koolance for 360 and ps3 and have that put in the inbetween the two consoles downstairs. i know its overkill but it would look nice LOL.

on the other hand. i never water cooled a quad setup. that must require so many hoses...anyone got a pic of it done? i can't imagine water cooling the cpu, mobo, ram, x4 video cards, and might as well add the harddrive and psu.

The appeal for water cooling is the silence. You can get a big passive radiator setup for absolute silence or you can add a jumbo sized, low RPM fan or two for better temps and minimal noise. I may go water-cooled on my next system, but that's a way down the road.

For now I have a C2D 2.4 GHz air-cooled to 2.88 GHz. I have zero problems with this setup. I had it stable at 3.2 GHz air-cooled, but the last set of BIOS updates won't let me overclock via BIOS, just with the Abit utility. All well, it's just for TF2 and BioShock.

My next PC will also be quad-core, but I know I won't need it. I just like having shiny toys that lead to terribly expensive addictions. Like modding my car...

Dont waste your time on a W/C system. The on going maintenance isnt worth it. Not to mention the costs.. I spent over $200 on my system..

HAHA god damn... that graphics card looks crazy. My Core 2 duo is water-cooled. I guess I like it because it is quiet.
