If Alfa brought over a 6MT Giulia QV to the sates (and it was somewhat reliable and had a nicer interior) - There's a good chance I'd have had that on order as opposed to the G80 - bucket list be damned in that case. That's how good the Giulia is.

I simply needed a 2+2 and the 4C doesn't offer that, plus 4 cylinder.

Ya, the 4C came a few years too late, gorgeous, gorgeous, DCT, compact like crazy, pretty much ideal for me, but can you imagine that as my only car? LOL. It seems pretty reliable too, just that annoying bolt-tightening service every 5 years or so. Then again, I'd constantly be worrying about some garage monkey ruining the carbon tub cuz they jacked it up in the wrong area. Definitely must be at least a 2nd car.

A) May I ask how come? (Obviously, I already asked, you don't have to answer.) It's sad when love diminishes. We're all human, after all.

B) Ya, I get that, that's probably a main factor for ppl who get 911s, it's a more 'practical' sportscar.

Unpopular Opinion I never knew had to be stated... licking your own asshole (or any asshole for that matter) is disgusting.

Large companies (cant speak for smaller shops, my last 15 years has been with large companies) forcing workers to be in the office for roles that can be successfully done remotely are doing it wrong and have a lack of trust in their management and employees. Yes, there are some jobs that have to be done in the office (manufacturing assembly, on-site security, doctors, nurses, etc). and there are times where being in person to do workshopping, strategy planning, team building and things like that that cannot be done well remotely so there is a time and place for it. I have had some in-person sessions where I walked away thinking "holy crap, doing that in the office was amazing!" but there are days where I go into the office and sit on Zoom calls at my desk which is pointless and should have stayed home.

Companies should not say we are going to be in the office for connection and collaboration. Just say what they are really thinking: we have to justify the cost of the building we rent so people should be there, plus executives equate seeing people in the office as productive while not seeing people makes them think lack of productivity. Finally, pre-covid tons of people were in every day and no one really cared so lets get back to that, right?

This will likely be an unpopular opinion, personal responsibility and accountability. There seems to be a sense of entitlement, few people want to earn what they get and the world owes them something. Ever work hard whether it's at work, in your yard or car project and when you've finished look back and take pride in the results?

Agreed. This is a very polarizing topic. My perspective comes from my reality working for a huge company and seeing how they are trying to manage this. We have a bad quarter and in our employee town hall the CEO starts barking about people getting back into the office.

What frustrates me is that being productive, responsible, and accountable isn't the same thing as being in the office.

We already worked from home 2 days per week, pre-COVID. Been full-time WFH since the OKC Thunder game that was canceled and then everything went crazy the next. They even closed our OKC at the end of 2021.

Our Senior VP has actually told us multiple times in all hands we have been more productive WFH and we need to take more time for ourselves.

I also work for a large company, underneath an even larger company. Currently in our quarterly All Hands, we hired 2,000 new employees in the last 6 months.

As to your last sentence, you're falling into the trap of thinking your experience is everyone's experience. We are so productive WFH, Ellison told us in 2020 that regardless what happens with COVID in the future we can WFH permanently and in 2021 they closed the OKC office because everyone said they'd rather work from home.
