Had to cancel our M5 order....... : (
Well after my accident.........parents kinda got to thinking and said forget it to the black sapphire/ portland brown leather/piano black trim E60 M5 special order we've had for almost 2 months now. What a shame...though it WOULDNT have been mine i still would have been able to use it a few times a week. Whatever its not like they would've moded it up anyway, my parents would have kept it bone stock. If they were to hand it over to me though with some serious cash and say "do what you do and make this M5 special" then i would have put some flat black HRE 840R's on it with H&R coilovers, an ACS front air dam grill and carbon fiber lip, an Eisenman or super sprint full manifold back exhaust system....hmm whatelse....some Dinan engine software, pulley's and other things of that nature....andddd i think thats about it. Maybe a vorstiener hood too, wait no, for sure a vorstiener hood too. Damn that would be so fresh.

I didn't even get to chose my first car. My dad brought home a 1996 Saturn LS2 sedan and said, that'll be $3000. If my parents ever bought a sports car they wouldn't even let me within 10 feet of it, let alone drive it. Now that I'm ordering my sports car (335i), I'm not going to let them touch it.

I am glad your parents are NOW thinking. This is a blessing in disguise! With an M5, you may not live past the age of 19. Be careful!

i hope with the amount of time you waste on cars you spend an equal if not more amount of time studying....
your parents money will only last you but so long.... esp if you spend more time figuring out how to waste it rather than earn it... |

My first ride was an '87 Honda Civic, complete with blue smoke, leaky sunroof and no interior ceiling. Might help me appreciate my BMW now, driving something like that for about three years....

man, thats too bad. my room mate has an e60 m5, that thing is so damn fast! i drive it all the time and let me tell you this much, i prefer driving my e90 man, its just more fun cause its smaller. the m5 feels like a boat compared to the e90, its just the crazy ass power that makes it amazing to drive. believe me, your 335i is damn cool and it has plenty of power, wish i had a coupe after seeing what people have done to them on this forum.

to be honest its not so much of the well i drove this when i was your age so on and so forth...
i'm sure there's plenty of ppl that were lucky enough to drive a nice car in their teens that their parents got them... which in all honesty is perfectly fine as long as the child is reasonable... its just the sheer stupidity ///M comes off with that baffles and annoys ppl... i mean really, i'm sure many would commend you if you were able to purchase these nice vehicles you speak of from income you've gained from your own hard work a perseverance.... but the matter of fact is that you're just tossing around your parents money... and whats crazier is they actually let you (hence why i say i blame the parents...) sorry to say, but keep going like this and you're going to become the textbook case of parents being hard workers and child becoming an (eventual penniless) derelict of society Cliff Notes: Grow the fuck up already... as harsh/rude as it may sound... its a shame to say that accident didn't knock some sense into your head |

That's funny as hell, if not a little harsh!
My parents had one car, a Toyota Corolla which I had to pay the extra to insure myself to drive it. I then bought my first car, a used '88 Toyota Corolla GTS which I paid cash for and insured myself. So, boo fucking hoo on the M5. And yes I did walk to school everyday, up hill both ways in a snowstorms with no shoes on!
