*Official* Bimmerpost photo contest no.87.5 | "̶F̶i̶r̶e̶w̶o̶r̶k̶s̶"̶ "Summertime"
EDIT: Since the last idea didn't work out so well, here's an easy one that should get most people to participate, "Summertime". Any photo that embodies summertime is allowed. The new deadline is Midnight EST on July 26th, so that gives everyone a little over 2 weeks.
With the 4th of July holiday coming up I thought this would be a good contest. I know some of our participants are outside the US though, so I have a backup idea in case you guys don't think it's fair for them. You can do some really cool things with fireworks and open shutters so this should be a fun contest. Just one example of a shot I took last year: 4th of July Fireworks by Seminolez, on Flickr Submissions will close on Sunday, July 6th, 2014 at 11:59PM EST. 1. Any interpretation of the theme that falls within Bimmerpost.com rules is welcome. 2. You must be the person that took the photo. Photos taken prior to the start of the contest are acceptable as long as you are the one that captured the image. 3. One submission per contest, and you cannot resubmit a photo that you've submitted before in a previous contest. 4. Images must be no larger than 1024 px in any direction. Links to larger images are allowed but you must have one that is no more than 1024 px for the poll. 5. All contestants must host their own pictures (which includes hosting them on Bimmerpost). 6. All images must have a title. 7. While post processing in Photoshop is allowed, adding or removing parts of the picture is not. In the event a photo is suspected to be "photo-chopped," the contestant will be asked to provide the original picture.

Great theme / timing. I would think, maybe put in the backup as either/or for non US participants?

Something I like to do every year and they put my pic in the local paper every year. Some on the cover
"The Center" kind of reminds me of Star Trek.

Good idea. For those outside the us I was thinking they can use my other idea for the contest, Urban Nights. Basically any shot of urban environment at night, everything goes.

Weebl wins by default? (It is a cool picture, after all.)

One of my favorites from this years show. I used a manual focus lens from the 70's (M42 mount).
I'm not going to suggest a contest, so it is still in your ballpark Seminole

I know the photo quality is subpar, but this is one I randomly took today while me and the wife were mountain biking with our dog. Just thought it fit the category. Feel free to laugh me out of here.

My vote is to close it, set up a poll, and let's move on.
