This looks like it should be fun. Will probably wait till its available for rent, but I love Toni Collette in anything she's in.

I saw the Deer Hunter for the first time a few weeks ago. Could not believe how bad it was. I like slow movies, a build up etc, this was just grueling, really tough to watch, absolutely glacial.

It is long, just over 3 hours, but has a few good scenes. I really don't want to sit through a 3 hour movie. Anything over 90 min better be really good in my book.

The Warriors

There's a hilarious American Dad parody episode based on this movie "Escape from Pearl Baley".

Watched “Evil Dead Rise” last night. It was enjoyable. Normally not a horror fan but the gf was down to see it so we went. Wasn’t too scary.

Got that "Evil Dead" name so I'd hope it would continue on with that Sam Raimi look and feel, even though I think I read Sam is not a part of this. Loved those movies.

^ Watched the trailer and it is very Sam Raimi like. Just read Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are executive producers. Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures appears to be one of the production companies. Also read he picked the director.

Will watch when it comes to me.

Interestingly... I am a huge Horror fan. But this franchise has creeped me out more so than others. Due to the fact that I remember watching the originals as a kid and being freaked out. The last movie a few years ago was very disturbing. This looks to be as disturbing and reviews say it is and gory.
I'll consider watching it on digital release, during the day.

Watched Ant-man & Wasp Quantumania. Quite entertaining. Really enjoyed Johnathan Majors as Kang the Conquer!

Yeah, we read reviews prior to watching it and I was expecting to be creeped the fck out. Perhaps it’s being a crowded Dolby Digital theater that helped. I imagine watching it alone would be more scary. It definitely was gory.

Dude...what? I think I saw your pix, you're like some big strong guy, what the...

Then again, I know someone who still *refuses* to watch The Exorcist.

The Evil Deads were alright, but I guess either I didn't follow it closely to understand how it worked exactly or it just seemed to 'randomly' infect ppl that's why I wasn't a huge fan of them.

Hey... There's a history with these.

Yeah, it’s a great horror classic. Speaking of, I just finished the TV series (again). Was pretty good as well.

You guys want terrifying?

With no blood, no gore, and maybe just a few bad words?

*Completely* psychological.

"The Vanishing".

Not repeat NOT the drivel/remake with Kiefer Sutherland-- you want the original one in German & Dutch w/ subtitles.

Flat-out most terrifying movie I've ever seen-- I watched it over 20 years ago and it sticks with me to this day.

R.
