Carb legal intake 2011 550i

I live in Cali and am looking for a carb legal intake to replace my stock one, not necessarily for more power but to replace all the plastic. anybody know of the best option, I know there is a DINAN but other than that one ?

shipping is not the issue its the SMOG standers for Ca thats out of control LOL

You have two options, get what you want and switch it for the factory intake at smog-check time, or search for the pretty much unobtainium CARB certified intake. I had a Lincoln LS that had the same 3.9L V8 as the T-Bird. The K&N intake for the T-bird was CARB certified, but it wasn't certified for the Lincoln so was "for off-road use only." I had to reinstall the factory intake to pass smog. 'Twas a bit of a bother, but worth it.

I had Dinan parts on my car and everything passes through CA smog inspection.

Like I said above, go to your forum and talk to people who know about your car.
