Nope.

He can't go 6 for 6 in the Finals. Even if he wins 10, he'll still be runner-up at best. Plus, today's NBA can't even be compared to that which the greats played. It's soft as hell and you get a foul called if you step into the paint with the ball and aren't the center.

You're comparing someone at the end of their career to someone who just hit their prime. Give it a couple years.

you wanna play that game, shaq needed to play with elite sg's to win any of his. again james needed to join 2 franchise players to create his super team to win anything. its cheap and all the legends knowledge this and their opinion means more than yours.

Yeah he's at the end of his career.... Have you seen him playing the last games.... More clutch than LeBrick will ever be... And he's still playing better and keeping up with people almost 10 years younger than him.

Kobe didn't need Shaq. Shaq needed Kobe. Let's not forget who the real dominate force on that team was. Wade and Bosh together affect the game about as much as Shaq did by himself back then.

Almost every championship team in the last 20 years has had multiple franchise players. LeBron was just never given one in his home town and left much like Shaq. Only difference is Shaq didn't do it like a tool.

For the record I'm a Bulls fan and think Kobe and LeBron will end up on the same tier after their careers. Behind Jordan.

The Lakers are the most god-gifted franchise in the entirety of sports. When you have an all-star team ever year, you win.

Put LeBron in Kobe's shoes from day 1, on the Lakers, and you tell me the outcome won't be any different. TELL ME THAT.

I am not a LeBron fan. But you give credit when it's due, and some of the greatest players in our BBall history NEVER won a ring....it doesn't mean you discount the impact they've had on their team!

Their really not that great if they never won a ring..... Isn't that what they play for? They don't just play and see how any MVP's there going to get

The only reason lebron won a ring was because.... It was HALF a season, with HELP from the officials (they basically gave him the ring), and a little help from Wade/Bosh.

I'm not a fan of the NBA, so I have no dog in the fight. From the prospective of an outsider, this is the most compelling story in basketball right now, and yet, it doesn't speak to me. I just don't care, and that's a problem for pro hoops. Neither of these guys transcend the devotees and bring new interest into the sport. They're both fabulous athletes who will never do what MJ or Magic did for basketball: make you want to see them win (or lose, depending on who you support).

Chris Paul
Patrick Ewing
Karl Malone
Charles Barkley
Elgin Baylor
John Stockton
George Gervin
Pete Maravich
Reggie Miller
Dominique Wilkins
Bernard King

....and the list goes on.... NONE OF THESE PLAYERS HAVE A RING. THESE are great players who had the MOST impact on their teams performance at the time. Most of these players reached NBA Finals at least once, if not more than once...Most of these players came excruciatingly close to a ring but failed.

Does that make them not great? Maybe....if you're not a basketball fan. If you're a surface homer that's blinded by rings as the end-all be all argument, then GUESS WHAT? There is no argument... all you need is the ability to count.

ROBERT HORRY HAS 7 RINGS
  • 1 more than Jordan
  • 1 more than Pippen
  • 2 more than Kobe
  • 2 more than Magic Johnson
  • 6 more than LeBron James

So by your logic, Dkhan -- Horry p0wnz all of them. Why did you even make this thread? Stupid trying to argue with a homer that only wants to spit rings at people.
