Does this scoop work with any intake? I originally thought it would just pipe more cool air into the engine bay/intake area.

Then I noticed the afe intake looks like it has a port that would line up directly with this scoop? Is the square opening in the intake to receive cold air from this scoop or does it serve a different purpose?

I wanted to do the Dinan intake. And I would add this if it were beneficial.

I believe it's for the f30, but there have been guys with the f22 that successfully installed with no modification.

it should . because it is installed behind the driver side kidney grill.
