ASUS mobo center channel buzzing

I have a brand new ASUS ROG mobo with 5.1 realtek audio. The center channel buzzes. I have tried different cables, speakers, and swapped to other channels, and all troubleshooting points to the center channel itself. Even if I turn off and unplug the PC from the wall it still buzzes. All drivers are up to date.

My last resort question is does the center channel need a mono 3.5mm plug instead of stereo? It shouldnt matter, but its the last thing I can think of other than the mobo port being bad.

Beyond maybe trying a ground loop isolator, I'd RMA the board.

Would think the center would be mono, but not positive on that one

Yeah I need to order isolators and a mono cable, cant find any in town.

I dont think it needs to be mono. I dont recall PC surround sound speakers havi g a mono plug for the center. But its a last resort before tearing it apart to send to ASUS.

realized after a spammer posted on this that I never updated.

I tried some more testing and realized that my results from previous tests were inconsistent. I thought I had narrowed it down to the center channel, but I found I had buzz using other audio devices as well though the same amps and in no particular pattern. So I scrapped the amps all-together and was going to buy a 5.1 computer/gaming speaker system but couldn't find anything that I liked, so I bought a 5.1 theater receiver and connected to my PC through optical. I had to run a patch to get my sound card to push 5.1 through optical, but all is working well. Using optical for sound allowed me to use the other channels on my sound card for haptic feedback channels for sim racing and such as well, so it worked out in the end.
