Nice. Which Porsche did you get?

Was it a Cayenne? A Macan? Or the other ones that represent the brand's traditional values? Such as the watercooled Porsche 911.
Touche my friend. A macan S. BUT looking for one of these aswell to join my E9 csi

I know what you're saying. I think the Macan drives pretty awesome though, regardless if it's an SUV. and the 911 is still the 911.

BMW seems to have trouble making small sporty cars these days though...cough, 235, cough...so that's why you see all this hope when a new small and hopefully sporty car is debuted as a concept. The core values of the company (the old ones anyway) work. It's a proven commodity.

Why they continue to try and be the GM of Europe will never make sense to me...aka trying too hard to be average at many different things instead of really good at a few.

No, not 100% until the first press release comes out. Let's put it this way - at this point I'd put the chances of it being RWD equal to the chances of it being driven by the two left wheels, two right wheels, or two at opposing corners.
Where's my corner-wheel drive car, BMW??

I think there's something wrong from the side profile.
Looks like a good looking fat boy. Short front and short back.

RWD and M2. Now BMW might get my money.
With the current crop of cars, there is no chance of separating me from $55-65 large.

Right now there is nothing much better than my 8 year old E90 335 Sport.
Yeah, some new technology but nothing worth the incremental $40+ large to play.

Oh? How did you reach that conclusion?

So you're saying that if BMW does use UKL for this car, they'll have consciously thrown money away? What about the 2AT, 2GT, and X1 - would those have been cheaper to build on the RWD platform too?

News flash!!!!!!

BMW finally figures out that a FWD platform allows for a larger interior space. Such technology and design leadership!

They must have found some old technical papers from Sir Alec Issigonis stuck in a drawer somewhere when they bought Mini and said "Hey here's a good idea, I'm suprised no one has ever thought of it!"

I'm going to disagree with that assessment. Current generation of 2, 3, 4 Series models are pretty darn good.

I like it. Give it to me in an xDrive configuration with a B48 engine with 300+ hp and I think it could be a future daily driver of mine here in the USA.
