I spoke to my dealer...said BMW has not yet released a date.
Normally it is about one and a half to two years after the release of the 3 series. I suspect this time its different...there is talk that BMW have gone back to the drawing board after the success of the Audi RS4...time will tell. |

the e46 m3 was released about 2 years after the e46 launch. but rumor has it that in 2007 it'll come out.
the question is what will it be, the sedan or the coupe. |

Just a quick hi as a newcomer and thought i'd give comment from the other side of the water.
I have had my deposit down since September last year and are No 3 on the list and made a further enquiry at my dealership last week and was told that over here in the UK it maybe 2008 until it comes out. I sincerely hope not! I'm also after the convertible and have read that it will come out AFTER the coupe. I would think that the release of the car(s) may be delayed due to success of the RS4 and that BMW have had to go back to the drawing board to ensure the M3 is head and shoulders above the Audi as I can tell you, from personal experience, the RS4 is a better car than the current E46 M3 as I had one for 4 months but my heart is set on the M3 and if i had kept it I would not have been able to afford the M3 when it comes out. Awesome cars and I am a Beemer man rather than an Audi man. The M3 due for release will be a formidable car and will take the benchmark of performance coupes even higher Anyway, will keep reading and looking for updates here in the UK and post anything I find of interest and I look forwards to you on the other side of the Atlantic doing the same |

It should be out by 2007 I guess, people are seeing M3 test mules everywhere at the moment...Does testing a car really take that long? 1 year? 2 years? I mean, they already made the V8 test mule with the M bodykit, all they have to do is tune it (Handling/Suspension/Engine). How long can that take? LOL Maybe I'm just seeing things in a simplistic way
We'll see |

This is the information I got from an Australian dealer:
The release of the new 335i coupe will be next month and the M3 coupe will be probably this time next year. So I guess it'll be out on the 2nd half of 2007 |
