Online dating site for Christians (supposedly - it certainly isn't anymore, and it really wasn't a ton of Christians on it either back then).

Sadly, I cannot remember the name of the site. Oh wait, I think it might be Christian Mingle.

She only signed up for at most a week and only on a dare from her sister. She hates when I tell people we met online (thinks there is a stigma associated with it). Unfortunately for her, I fricking love telling people this to see their reactions.

The current gf and I have been together for 5 years in August. My relationship cycle is pretty strange. I get in long-term relationships that last for years, then when we break up; it's as if attractive women fall from the sky and land in my lap....or I land in theirs. Rinse/Repeat.

Back story on how I met the girlfriend. My first wife met my girlfriend at a new job she started back in '97. They became quick friends. There were other girls involved in their clique, but the tall, skinny blonde with a gorgeous smile, always caught my eye. Due to being married, I acted as if I wasn't attracted in the least, but I was. Soon the tall, skinny blonde starts dating, not so much a friend of mine - but someone I know. Fast-forward 20 years later, I'm divorced, she's divorced so I ask her out to a movie and dinner. We've been inseparable since. So I actually met her through her being friends with my, at the time, wife. Life goes through some bizarre twists and turns.

Way more interesting stories in regards to how I met the women that never made it to SO status.

We actually went to the same high school - 1 year apart - and never knew each other. She now lives 4 hours away from me. All these years later we meet through a mutual friend and hit it off. Probably a good thing, I was even more of an asshole in high school than I am now.

I knew her brother some who was older than me. Funny thing is, after we started dating, her brother found a birthday card I gave him in like the 5th grade.

I'm not sure if the coincidence of that bothers me the most or the fact a man still has a 5th grade birthday card in his possession........ =)

I have to give cliff notes on mine:
I had just recently become single after a 4 year stint. BMW's yearly conference was in Vegas and I was asked to go by my dealer. I had never been and had no desire to go to Vegas nor "socialize" after the recent breakup.
Upon night entry to McCarran I saw the lights and thought maybe this won't be so bad.

Knowing some club rats from NJ they told us to hit Rum Jungle in Mandalay Bay the 1st night.
I proceeded to intoxicate myself with liquid courage to talk to a nice young lady. We chatted and she tried to leave but I told her I wasn't done talking to her. Her reply was "What's the sense, you're from NJ and I'm from WI"
To this I said lets go to dinner tomorrow and if you don't want to be friends I'll leave you alone.

We spent the next few nights "dating" in Vegas....Vegas style, limos, dinners, drinks, clubs....and my dealership covered it all. I got home and immediately told her I needed to see her again but NJ was too cold in February so Ill meet you in Miami. Since it was my offer, it was only right to pay for her flight.
After Miami she moved to NJ that April, and we have been together 17yrs now.

A neighbor in the building i used to live in kept trying to set me up with a girl that worked with her, I wanted none of it, for years she'd invite me to parties saying she was going to be there..... I always refused, went through 2-3 gf's over the span of 6 years or so, all the meanwhile my neighbor kept telling me about her, yet i always said no.
