Official BimmerPost Photo Contest #27: Ittensional Camera Movement

Official BimmerPost Photo Contest #27: Ittensional Camera Movement
________________________________________
RULES:

1. Any interpretation of the theme that falls within Bimmerpost.com rules is welcome.
2. You must be the person that took the photo. Previous photos are acceptable as long as you are the one that captured the image.
3. One submission per contest.
4. Images must be no larger than 800px in any direction. Links to larger images are allowed but you must have one that is under 800px for the poll.
5. All contestants must host their own pictures (which includes hosting them on Bimmerpost).
6. All images must have a title.
7. While post processing in Photoshop is allowed, adding or removing parts of the picture is not. In the event a photo is suspected to be "photo-chopped," the contestant will be asked to provide the original picture.

THEME:
The theme is Ittensional Camera Movement. (For English speakers and readers, that means Intentional camera movement). This would not include lens zooming while the camera is still. It could include zooming and moving the camera at the same. The camera movement can be large and it can be small. It could include panning at a slow shutter speed such that the background is blurred by the camera movement. Here’s a Flickr Group with lots of examples: http://www.flickr.com/groups/intenionalcameramovement/

IMPORTANT DATES:

Entries must be submitted to this thread no later than Wednesday October 13th @ 11:59 PM PDT

Does this include purposely handholding for a low light shot? We all know camerashake will occur at some point. j/k This is an interesting theme! Can't wait to see what people come up with. Would rolling shots count? The camera is technically moving.

Yes a rolling shot would count. Unintentional shake is going to be hard to exclude. If you've got something that you think would be competitive and the camera was moving, enter it.

a panning shot as opposed to a rolling shot would be much more fitting IMO.

I'm not going to exclude any rolling shot; however, the spirit is to blur a distort the background and/or subject via camera movement. A rolling shot at high shutter speed doesn't distort anything.

Bah, I'll try something else out then. I don't have a DSLR and my super-zoom is pretty limited when it comes to shutter settings. So I guess I'll see what I can do.

Sorry 'Nole.

Does your camera have a "B" bulb setting? If so, that'll work at night. Look at the examples at the Flickr link I put in the thread starting post for more ideas. I took mine using Bulb.

Pic I took back in 2007 of my 335 at MIR drag racing in the evening, friend driving it. His 1st time on the track. Combo of pan and zoom adjustments.
