Brand new to the Bimmer Forums! Attempting to fix some pretty big issues with my e60. I have attached all codes that I am currently working with. Main concern right now is the Misfire in Cyl. 2 and my AC won’t blow cold for more than 5 seconds once I start the car up. Ordered a new AUC sensor with hopes to fix that Issue. Completely lost on the rest of codes though. Any help would be appreciated!

Any signs of water damage to the modules under the spare tire in the trunk? Sunroof drains are a known weak point.

Hows the battery? Could it be on the way out? They can cause a bunch of random modules to throw codes.

Water damage? (already mentioned)... Rodents?

Also check the rear firebox area for signs of water.

Are these codes that text after clearing and driving for a bit? Is the battery good? Weak batteries in these cars cause problems.

Great cars once sorted but most at this age need a lot of sorting. I did a pretty comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair job on my 08 E61 535xi whe it was 13 years old and had 150k miles. I had it from 3 years and 30k and had maintained it well and it had been reliable. I spent $2k plus on parts and several days of my time. Car is doing great 3 years later at over 160k miles — I ended up giving it to a friend in need but still maintain it.

Had just a JB4 for mods most of the time. Woke it up nicely. You can do a lot more in terms of mods but the car was really for my wife to drive rather than me.

Thanks to both of you for the responses, going to check everything mentioned once I’m off work for the day… any ideas for the engine misfire code? Besides just spark plugs and coil packs?

The screenshot says inactive codes for the DME. So I'd ignore them and focus on the active ones first (likely electrical related).

Then clear them all, and see what returns. Just my youtube mechanic opinion, I'm not a pro.

Coils don’t all fail at once. A JB4 piggyback or a tube will often lead to misfires from older, weaker coils that are perfectly fine at stock boost. If the spark plugs have 50k miles or less they are probably fine.

There have been a lot of injector problems on N54. By now the high pressure pumps have been replaced, but injectors issues continue. Several of mine were replace when the car was about 5 years old. None have been replaced since. They are expensive — the latest version, Index 12, are hundreds of dollars each last I read. I don’t have those and no issues, but I used only top tier premium gas and owned the car most if its life
