How do I convince the wife to trade her Fit for an SI?

What if she wants the car that not as expensive? My wife had an opportunity to get any car around the 40k range, and decided that she really loved the Honda Element. Should i have forced her to get a much more expensive car, even though that is the car she wanted?

You're not the type of guy I'm referring to. The type I mean is the guy who spends substantially more on his car than his wife's because "women don't know cars"

If your wife is happy with the elemnt and you save some money, its all good.
