Really tells you something about BMW when just the word bearing is thrown out that everyone automatically thinks it's rod bearings

So true! After almost a century, BMW still doesn't know how to make rod bearings reliably. Or do they just continue to cut corners knowing that they'll get away with it?

When it came to the N54 issues, and Mini issues, the dates of manufacturing that the recall were limited to, were always very shady. There were definitely many months or years of production of cars that were not covered in those recalls, but were still affected by the issues.

Does this mean that all the months of car production leading up to the recall date of these cars are affected by the bearing issue?

Who knows. The B46/48 and B58 have been in the market since 2015.

I just had the dealer checked my F36 and there is no recall. I think it's only for a select G series with these engines.

A couple of our customers tracking their Mini with the B48 have excessive play at the crank and the main bearings are at fault.
