Thomas, I like the composition, but the noise and smog sort of take away from the image. Noise is relatively easy to deal with, but haze and smog are a bear to fix. You always end up losing somewhere.

I went out this morning, looking for a 11x11 white-tail buck that's in my area. I put on my throw-over camoflage and sat on my stool right in the middle of their trail. The does were kind of excited to see something odd in their area, but they weren't scared. This little fawn came so close that I couldn't fit it all in the frame:

Canon 7D, 500mm lens at f/4, ISO 1600, +1EV, resulting in 1/400th sec. hand held. Processed with DxO Optics Pro using their Velvia 50 emulation, which I'm quickly falling in love with.

I like the level of OOF for the background. Just enough to separate them from the subject but still recognizable as a reception. Nice.
