I seriously don't get people putting dumb crap on their rifles. Last thing I want is in court someone holding up my weeb'd out AR I had to use for self defense or it has some dump punisher logos on it etc.

When I was in high school, there was a guy who had an old pick up. He put a bug deflector (yes I know that dates me) on it with "WILD MAN" written across it. The main road between our town and the larger town 10 miles away was narrow and curvy and dangerous (was replaced decades ago). This guy was heading to town and tried to pass in a bad spot and caused a wreck that killed a lady. Every newspaper in the area had a huge picture of this truck in the ditch with that "WILD MAN" bug deflector front and center. Nice guy, just young and stupid like we all were and made a stupid mistake, but that bug deflector still sticks in my mind. Optic can matter.

Nice to stumble on this thread.
Has anyone handled the CMMG Banshee Mk10 in 10mm? Dad bought one but can't shoot due to injury so I'm inheriting it. I have a built CZ Scorpion EVO3 S1 in 9mm that shoots super flat but never shot a roller delayed.

The recoil impulse on a roller delayed makes it much more pleasant to shoot than a direct blowback. There's a reason HK has been using it for 50+ years

Anyone have/use a thermal monocular or scope? Figured this was the best place to ask (on this forum).

Any sage wisdom on choosing base mag vs ID range? Haven't found much online on that. Looking for 150yd to short range for ID when walking the pups on the property at night. Haven't dove to far into hunting yet. Kind of a toss up netween a monocular or scope right now.

Nice choice, the XC is really nice to shoot. I wish Staccato would let us dealers handle Heroes program sales. Enjoy!

Finally got a lever 30-30, 1967 centennial model, never shot. I wanted an octagon barrel model, didn't care about much else. Some old person bought a few for prolly $75 back then, sold them to Cabela's for prolly $7-750 each, a $1 in 1967 is worth $10 today, what a great investment! I will prolly shoot it this weekend.

Those of you that submitted form1 for the 2021R-08F ATF brace ban...
My understanding is you won't receive the email with the fingerprint cover letter until it goes into "SUBMITTED/PENDING" status, is this correct? Mine immediately went into "PENDING RESEARCH" and has been there for a month, and I haven't received the email with the cover letter. Its making me a little nervous.

From the National Gun Trusts website; "When applying for a tax stamp using the ATF's eForm website, you will be required to submit your fingerprint cards to the ATF within 10 business days of your application going into the SUBMITTED/IN PROCESS status. In order to submit your fingerprint cards to the ATF you will need the cover letter. The cover letter has information that is specific to your application and is how the ATF links your fingerprints cards to your specific application. You may not have received your cover letter for a few reasons. If your tax stamp application is in the PENDING RESEARCH phase, you won't receive your cover letter from the ATF until your application is changed to the SUBMITTED/IN PROCESS status."

Anyone here have experience with the Staccato CS?
Recently brought to my attention as a potential addition to the collection but when I saw the price tag, accompanied by the fact that you can't get your hands on one for showroom / inspection purposes (at least in my general area) , gives me pause to simply order one, sight unseen. If you have real world experience with this intriguing weapon, I'm interested in your thoughts around it. TIA.

Happy days, free SBR stamp approved this morning on my .300 pistol (took at little less than two months for approval). Wasted no time removing the pistol brace I never liked anyway, replaced with new tube and Magpul adjustable stock. She’s done! If anyone else is waiting on the approval, hope you get it soon!

I will get a Staccato P 5" DLC Ice Comp etc. soon, was going to buy one few months ago but got a great deal on a Mark 23 & other things. I am fortunate to live in a state where I can fondle pretty much everything out there, which is a good & bad thing. Bad cause when I touch it then I usually want it, which is how I just picked up a Beretta 80x Cheetah Launch.
Earlier this year at Modern Warriors in St George I think they had 10+ Staccatos in stock, which was great to decide which one I wanted. Never heard a bad thing except for the sticker shock. Quote:

I'm very similar to you, though... maybe it's a good thing I don't currently have the option feel one out, because I'm the type to just ignore the price if I truly enjoy a first hand / in person experience.

We'll the one I want is $2k cheaper than the $5k Atlas Titan I fondled the other day.....lol
Yeah once you see & touch it first hand, you will want it. Before going to MW & figuring what I wanted, I was on the fence, after touching and selecting one I wanted I was like give me a deal to take this home now. Staccato pricing is pretty firm, but some places will do a $2-400 gift card with purchase every so often which is what I am waiting for, or if you can get heroes pricing direct from Staccato. Quote:

Congrats. My free individual one from January was approved in April. My trust one from February and individual one from May are still pending. --- Expecting a Platypus in the next week and hopefully the XC by end of next month. This arrived yesterday. 15 cases of ammo that I didn't order. I ordered 5000 rounds of Speer 147gr TMJ and 10000 rounds of 125gr TMJ. I got 15000 rounds of American Eagle 147gr FMJ. |
