2010 Taurus Sho vs. 2010 Acura TL SH-AWD

These cars seem like a good comparison, same price range, target market. Which would you prefer?

2010 SHO: $37,995, 3.5L V6, 365HP@5500RPM, 350lb/ft@3500 RPM, AWD

2010 TL SH-AWD: $38,665, 3.7L V6, 305HP@6300RPM, 273lb/ft@5000RPM, AWD

I kinda like the Acura

I mean its not gorgeous, but I think it looks alright. The Taurus isn't bad though, especially the interior, it looks bad ass.

Taurus for sure.

The stupid Acura looks like it has a bird beek for the nose. It also looks like they had two different designers (one for the front and one for the rear) and somehow made them fit together. It's just gross.

Cant believe I'm saying this but... I'll take the Ford.

Engine has got more oomph and OMG that Acura is hideous. I thought the old TL looked so good. Ford is stepping up their game here in the States. Good on them.

Taurus SHO, but I would personally go and grab a G8 GT before they are gone( or settle for used) over both of them.

I think the SHO actually looks alright and I'm sure the tuning possibilities will be pretty good.

The Acura is ugly as all Hell.... I can't believe someone actually gave that design the nod. I think they actually look worse in person than they do in photos... Not only does the nose look like a bird beak in design, it also protrudes like one, with the massive front overhang. It's just gross.

Ford is as ugly inside as the Acura is outside. Add to it that the Acura comes standard with more tech goodies and the AWD system is the most advanced on the market and the Ac wins hands down. You can paint a Ford any color you want, it's still a Ford..

+1...I drool everytime I see a G8 drive by, the first (and last) Pontiac I would willingly spend my own cash on.

G8 besides, I think I would go for the TL. Yes I know it looks worse than the Ford, but I much prefer the TL's interior and the SH-AWD.

Exactly. Ford's are American cars. All American cars handle like pigs (like they literally have hoofs), and are fat and have cheap materials. I wouldn't drive a GT40 because it's American, and a Ford.

If I had to go with either of the 2, I would go with Ford Taurus.

Acura has a really bad design and ford is bad but not that bad.

The other thing tilting me towards Ford is the ecoboost aka twin turbo V6. Forced inductions is the way to go to push these heavy things around+ it has a 6 speed auto.
