Exclamation Melbourne 2008 F1 Results

Race just finished, will have official full results later.

Hamilton first
Heidfeld second
Rosberg third

Only 8 cars managed to finish the race!!!
All Ferrari powered cars failed (typical Ferrari reliablity)
Rikkonen spun out 3 times

The most entertaining race I've seen in years. Great start for BMW

Great in 2008!!!

That race was insane!

Hamilton just had a straight forward race; no drama and some good luck, but, everybody else was in hell. Kimi got butt-raped and Heiki did not do so well either (5th).

However, all of the drivers (8) who finished the race got points.

McLaren Mercedes - 15 points
Ferrari - 0

No Traction Control. Now we can see who can really drive, and also who has good judgment without the car to save him.

I have new respect for Hamilton!

What a great race. This season is going to be awesome!

It really helps being on the pole more than ever when everyone behind you wrecks each other.

I watched the race live on SPEED and was really impressed by what I saw. Very good driving and some not so good driving but nonetheless very entertaining to watch! The only teams that seemed to be on the ball were Mercedes McLaren and BMW, hence the results I suppose.

A little off topic, but does anyone know where to buy 1:18 versions of the BMW Sauber F1 cars?

Looks like BMW should do well this year. Not that they did horribly last year or anything...lol @ Ferrari...as much as I respect their engineering I hope they get knocked down a few pegs...anything to get them off their high chair.

Hamilton's a true driving genious. To control that much power in such a light car is truly something that demands the utmost skill. This year is going to be amazing to watch.

I dislike Hamilton, he is just a whiny little cry baby, but maybe he will grow up a little this year. He is just in a good car. The first race is always the craziest one, but I'm looking forward to a rain race this year, it will be interesting to see how everyone manages to handle that along with the night race!

I've seen a display one in New Century BMW, but it is the 2006 (or 2007) vehicle, not the latest 2008 one....and according to the parts dept, its discontinued.....

once the 2008 F1.08 car is out...i want to buy one!

Hamilton whiny???
I havn't heard much about Hamilton whining about the loss of last year....he just accept that fact that he lost his world champ and move on to the new 2008 season.
On the other hand, once the Spainard felt the heat from Hamilton last year. He's already whining he didn't got 100% support from McLaren.....I wonder who's whining???

Not here to start another Alonso vs Hamilton thread, but just post what I think.

But we all agree, this year without TC, Common ECU, and Singapore Night Race.....can't wait to watch all 2008 races!
